Leave the 3rd japanese land to gods playground with the golden scroll and then go back to the 3rd japanese land so that changes take effect.

Make sure the following:
1. Deactivate in-game overlays, for example from steam/nvidia-
2. Some video capture software can cause issues, you could try without them if you have any running.
3. Cap the game to 60 fps.
4. Make sure you have installed everything correctly (first bw2, then patch 1.1, then patch 1.2, then patch 1.42, then Redux).

It should have improved but I would still recommend that you create additional save games before entering a skirmish map.

Something to mention which I forgot in the 1.8 changelog: Of course skirmish stability was also improved in the 1.8 version but we got different results for each tester (for some it runs well, others are still experiencing issues), so it's still recommended to create a save before entering any skirmish map. You can also find this information in the Redux FAQ: Moddb.com

4) You are limitied to the Greeks but I heard many people using Tribal Pack Plus in combination with Redux

5) Redux custom .exe does have this feature but it won't be updated with the 1.8 release

That's something which I sort of promised in the past but so much depends on the new influence mechanic that I won't be able to make it optional with the current time I have.

However we are always improving to make sure to check it out in the next version.

With which language are you playing? Currently the mod only supports english and german.

It is a bug in the current Redux version, but it'll be fixed in the next update!
Until I release it you can try to install the 1.42 fan patch (use the white.exe then). It should help with that issue.

It is intended but I can make it an optional feature in the next version.

I need to finish work on improving skirmish and also I'm waiting for some soundtracks to be completed.
Unfortunately I can't give any date at the moment.

It works but you have to use the white.exe instead of whitemod.exe

Currently skirmish is next in my list to work on as the campaign is mostly ready for the next update.

Hopefully I can track down all those crashes in skirmish!

Setting mouse polling rate to 125hz fixes this issue.

Please have a look into the waypoints. Only played a couple of rounds with the new version and the new bot movement is really nice, but especially in Favela bots got stuck in multiple places (ladders, when trying to jump from roof to roof etc.)

Some info about the mod: Work on it will be paused now for quite some months. The 1.8 version has progressed far but not enough to release it.

You can still post bug reports or comments, but chances are low that I will answer to them in time until I actively start working on Redux again.

The AI shouldn't be doing that. In which land was it where it happened?

You unlock the altar first in the last norse land. So you have to play it first before going to skirmish as in version 1.7.1.
You normally turn villagers into worshippers at the altar.
Last one sounds weird. It might be a faulty game installation, try to reinstall it maybe it'll fix it.

You have to install it into your Black & White 2 folder. Most likely you installed it into the default path (D:\Black & White 2), but you have to change the path to your bw2 folder when installing Redux.

yes, it's possible if all players have the mod installed correctly.
I also advise playing it in combination with gentool as that's much more stable from my experience.

I'm gladly taking any help I can get if you want to improve the maps yourself.

I'm using the bw2 landscape editor for the maps. It comes with the bw2 modding tools located here: Bwfiles.com

Technically it's possible to get the mod work on the original maps, but it would take too much time for me to make those changes alone.

Meanwhile I hope you like the future changes to the maps but as it is planned the mod will be based on the custom maps.

If you can explain further and which lands exactly you dislike it would be a much more of a help because now it's the time.

Some landscapes get major changes for the update. The northland map for instance has been scrapped completely and replaced by a completely new one. As I said, I'll be able to respond to your critic much more precisely if you can explain your critic a bit further.
