Have you tested it with the AI defending? Can they use the buildplots properly? I know sometimes the AI responds popelit* to fortress maps and maps with set pieces in the game... Also, it looks wicked! Cant wait for your next release!

I’m guessing the gist of your post is a lack of iron hills units and how they look? If we’re gonna be super picky then most Dwarfs would probably look like the Blue Mountains dwarf unit (since the armour used in both Lotr and the Hobbit would be chain mail, not plate as used by Peter Jackson’s Iron Hills dwarfs for example). Spears, mattocks, swords and axes along with a buckler (small round shield) would probably be the main arsenal of any dwarf. Also big two handed axes would be problematic anatomically to be used by a dwarf.
On the Elves topic: There are no distinct cultural differences between the dwarf realms (third age) that we know of. They were traders, craftsmen and miners primarily. Elves differ way more (Silvan Elves in Mirkwood, few Noldor (high elves) in Rivendell and the Galadhrim (a branch of Silvan elves) in Lórien. Note that the only true Elven and dwarf kingdoms at the time of Aotr are the Kingdom of Mirkwood and the Kingdom of Erebor.

Not really... I play BFME occasionally, mainly for the nostalgiafactor which I feel is lacking in Edain.
But since you asked, here is a slice: Morgul Knights, Tauriel, Chanteuses, Dwarven Dragonslayers, and a **** ton of made up characters, many having powers to obliterate armies in 2 seconds completely going against the main theme of Tolkiens writings.
Still, anyone enjoying LoTR (in any way) makes me happy!
Is it really? Authenticity and the lore are taking big hits in Edain. They have alot of functions that barely work, and apart from the dwarfs most of the work is quite sub par... But that's just my opinion!

To what extent will you rework the Campaign? Like having Imrahil at Minas Tirith, Erkenbrand at Helm's deep or the Mouth of Sauron at the Black gate? Is it possible to have characters permanently die in the Campaign i.e. failing to save Boromir in the Amon Hen mission?

This is just me guessing but... Don't expect an AI for Gundabad nor Eriador. It was pretty wonky in The Dwarf Holds (the dwarf faction didn't use all build-plots, special units or all the heroes) and I would rather focus was aimed elsewhere for now. Also, We haven't seen all of the Rohan teasers yet and Isengard still remains, I THINK (everything not coming from the devs is pure speculation, mind you).
Contrary to popular opinion I would like to see a 2016 release. I am knee-deep in exams until januari... Good things come to those who wait!

Now this is just nitpicking but will the rohirrim have weapon variations e.g. axes, sword, spears?
Do you have any thoughts on Leadership/forged blades fx? The one in TDH was pretty neat with different colours depending on good or evil units.
