this hammer/litlle sword/pixage looks like shadow of mordor celebrimbor's one ,right ?
Yep!
God is this Good.
beautiful as always
the idea of giving him a hammer like this is really interesting ;) but the sword is to much glamdring alike...i'm not remembering him as beeing one of the noldor nor a survivor of the fall of gondolin.
therefor that he is a teleri and beeing known as one of the wisesd(german: weisesten) elves remaining in ME, he should more beeing the one carrying a staff like the istari did or something other unique, or maybe a spear? As Lindon is known for it's spearmen in BFME-Series, and also due to the fact that spears often were used by seamen...as there also is unknown the destination of Aeglos.
Beeing part as a member of the Last-Alliance, he should get Aeglos(maybe he kept him when the battle was over like he keapt narya from Gil-Galad until he gave it to Gandalf) and at least the Last-Alliance Armor ;)
These are my two cents but i think this would add a good portion of the lore to this great mod ;)
Staff? Nah. That would imply him getting a staff-appropriate animation set, and Cirdan, despite his age, is still an Elf, meaning old man/wizard animations would not do his inherent vitality any justice.
About his weapon - eh, I like the sword. Gives us more options in terms of animations and the straight, leaf-shaped blade implies that it is very old, like Sting and Glamdring.
As so far a staff is not impying old man behaviour, despite the wizards as istari's were mayar...
so apart from their appeariance they were very strong(as Gandalf lifted Faramir easily from his prevented firedead) and fast....
as i said the kind of sowrds like Hadhafang or like the ones the noldors used in their last alliance or even the style of legolas dagger/shortswords is really really old and the much more common version ;) but on the other hand i think your mod will be great, such small things shouldnt be the point ;)
I know the Istari weren't weak old men, but their animation sets imply as much. They're not Elven, is what I mean. ;)
Doesn't Gandalf mean "Staff Elf" in English? Nonetheless I agree that the weapons are better than a staff.
Gandalf means 'elf with magic staff' in Old Norse. Though I'm missing your point...
Your models are just absurdly good, I'm eagerly awaiting release!
I'm just wondering if anybody recognizes the face that was used for Cirdan?
Hint: he had a cameo in the second Hobbit movie.
He reminds me Legolas.
Sadly Legolas had more than a cameo...
Nestadion , Galion ?
No sir.
Colbert?
Props to you.
This is my fav thing you've done :D
Colbert would be proud!
We're trying to get him to see it - Tweet it to @StephenAtHome if you can!
That warhammer is fantastic.
Tweeted this to Colbert himself. Let's see if we can't get a response!
Atta' boy
Very nice i like this tiny hammer of celebrimbor
First i must say i love the model.
But why does he look old arent elves immortal?
Because Círdan is *very* old, probably *the* oldest Elf that remained in Middle-earth, possibly amongst the first of the Elves that awoke at Cuivienen. In any case, he is at least 10.000 years old, and Tolkien described him as looking his age. He also said that sorrow and pain can cause Elves to look older (Círdan has certainly seen plenty of that) and that Elves may start growing beards very late in life.
Oh, so that's why were bearded orcs in the movies. I didn't understand how can be orcs with beards.
Almost looks like Rob Paulsen.
