Hi man, AMAZING work, thank you sooo much. I love this game, it reminds me of my youth. IT would be great to get support for the original missions, but I guess there might be genuine reasons why you cant import them into your codeset.

Wanted to also say, can you turn on ratings or something? I can't seem to vote your mod 10/10?

Best,
Adam

Use the last version, this version is still unstable for me. I keep telling devs but not sure if anyone has seen my feedback.

Issue is definitely there in current release, revert to earlier release using steam.

Hey i used steam feature to revert to 1.84 and I found that the crashing after 2 hours or so went away.. I think something is introduced in the 1.85 which is still a bit unstable.

Just a heads up. Cause 1.84 runs beautiful.

Best wishes,
A

The sins game file. I guess this is correct... I really think there is a bug that causes crash after several hours.. :(

Hey man test a game on any map after an hour or two of gameplay, you will get crashdumps, even with LAA. I've reproduced this consistently :( Do you know if there is any fix forthcoming for this?

Best wishes,
Adam

I'm having crashes too. I've applied the large address aware correctly with admin privileges. IT's a great mod but still buggy at the moment...

Is it possible to get this patch without steam?

Jonas, thanks for all the work you've done with other stuff, but I respectfully disagree. It's not the game itself, it's the way they handled the release and announcements. I mean, if essentially SE and CC have upset a lot of DX fans, and got ratings to show it, that kind of matters too. Nothing stopped TNM getting great reviews.

There is also a reason, and in this case it's wrong to assert that it's just a case of self entitled people raging at the smallest of things. This could have been better!

So the reason why you fobbed us off waiting all this ******* time, is because you decided to make the game steam-only.

GREAT.

Thanks.

If DeusEx taught us anything it is not what the diaster scenario is, even if the whole world is threatened by an elaborate conspiracy to deceive or destroy the world. IT is the how we deal with it. I can't help but feel everyone in the moddb community is in some way responsible for this, in the same way the core values of this excellent computer game had taught us that it wasn't just managing expectation, but overcoming terrible disaster in the face of adversity.

We need not resort to bullying, and whining at eachother, or harsh remarks, even if people are complete and utter lemon cakes, one ought not to lose the self respect of Denton. He is JCD afterall. There is a lot to live up to, and that applies to all of us.

Booya, just sayin.

I don't want to say something obvious but is "NO ETA" soon? :D Love you dude and everything you do, but the reason why people are getting upset is because there is nothing worse in any release that is widely anticipated than 'conflicting messages', the question I suppose is, is this coming soon? And the answer is, apparently 'we don't know , there is no ETA'. This is something of a contradiction , but I suspect most of all for die-hard dx fans like me, a terrible disappointment. We have been all following along your work for years.

*please dont banish me*.

I hope the wait is worth it and this release is as good as we are all anticipating

no offence Trasher64, I appreciate the hard work you've put into this MOD and all the other good developers and musicians, but I've never seen so much anger/discontent surrounding a MOD, generally.

Why could this be?
Perhaps you could accept some small responsibility in the way that the general news release progress reports and PR was given and worded? And then a lot of this discontent and double-taking could have been avoided, at least in my mind. Unless I'm just imagining it and gamers are a bunch of spoilt , twisted , ungrateful MOFOS. But I don't think I am purely imagining this and feel the suggestions me and others made were fairly sensible and thoroughly thought out.

It's nice to see that the developers took mine and other members of moddb's comments/advice on board and did the July 9 update.

Although it may be amusing to some, most developers take seriously their audience, otherwise they would be just developing software for themselves, and, it's something that developers eventually get used to, receiving sometimes false (incorrect) or harsh (sometimes correct) feedback, does somewhat go with the avenue of this job, even when it is not always fair or rational!

Cheers

hell yeah caustic, keep on keeping on. They listen to the community, and proven that by latest update.

I know my previous posts might have sounded critical, and rightly so, at least a little bit, but these developers are fine gentleman. Thank you for updating us with very clear update. This was needed and it is infinitely appreciated by all of us.

Keep on going. We're all waiting, and the game community in general is waiting for this release with bated breath. Deus ex is the #1 pc game ever made after all. It is a rare privilege and pleasure

BE WELL, when this releases it deserves #1 slot on moddb!

A lot of people are getting upset about the whole square Enix thing, did you notice? You can't blame them, it is somewhat understandable.

But, that is what happens when you say you are going to release 'soon' and that the MOD is `finished` and then dont release but seemingly, emphasis seemingly take a sudden surprise change of direction and apparently seemingly, emphasis, delay it, when you have given the users of moddb the impression a release is coming :( Everyone now believes it is because of Square Enix and is this not bad publicity for Square enix and the mod?

Well, keep up the good work, and maybe hire someone to manage publicity. I'm not sure about polish sausages but what about common courtesy and decency, or just basic transparency and making promises and announcements of completion when its ready for release, or what about simply making promises that can be honoured?

All things being equal the developers of this MOD have my respect, but as I have said briefly before, this 'enixmess' could have been avoided by carefully making promises that could be kept, and actually what about keeping quiet about the Square Enix thing, but someone has blabbed, and look at the discontent it makes, especially when everybody knows the release is finished and it's been published as that. Taunting users by saying a mod they have been waiting for for years is finished but they have to wait because of some unknown reason is obviously boiling the blood of some impatient persons, but worse frustrating the loyal supporters of the mod who have been led to believe it would be released 'soon'.

Which basically now is making everyone blame the 'commercial deal', and this happens a lot in the gaming industry, I should know a little bit about this having worked in the industry (no I'm not saying who but they were one of the first console companies). I see that nearly every time it does happen though it could have been avoided. Enixmess is a shame gentleman and I hope that this can be corrected. I'm going to be very frustrated myself if we have to wait to Q1 2016. You could have at least let us know how long we are going to wait, as afterall you've already said it will be available 'soon'.

Please please don't take this as an angry gamer, or attack on the developers, it is hardly this, but a few succinct points I think should be recognised. You can do better gentleman! Do not ruin a good mod by selling out. And surely you could tell people if they have to wait to Q1 2016 or not, and at least put peoples minds at rest eh? Especially after stating its coming "soon", because Q1 2016 is NOT SOON!!!

THANK YOU AGAIN for developing a great mod, I just hope we get the clear FAQ on what in the hell is going on, and if there is NDA etc, perhaps you could tell us some of what to expect without breaking the NDA, and whether the 'soon' release date applies anymore? Times a ticking!!!

PEACE
A
