This mod is not noob friendly. Unless you do exactly what developers want you to do, reading wikipedia is mandatory, doing specific research path, strict gameplay loop with no choice on how you play, knowing things you wouldn't have known ahead of the time (Not selling certain items else you're screwed), then you will have a bad time.
Developers advertise 400 hours of gameplay, but no one mentioned how many of those hours you will be having fun, if at all. This all seam like a giant hamster wheel with massive grind. Maybe if game was trimmed down a lot, to let's say 40 hours, you would have a much better experience.
If I had to recommend this game, I would recommend you to save your 400 hours on other things and just avoid this. This mod requires you to read an essay and memorize it before you can even attempt to play this, even FTL on hard wasn't so cruel to me. I know that this mod is free, and that is good, since no one would pay for this experience. Good music, good atmosphere, but requirements to know things before attempting to play this mod ruins the experience, better avoid it.

P.S Reading wikipedia and doing exactly what developers want you to do is not mark of intelligence. How can you expect a person to play the game when they don't even know what games rules are or how it supposed to be played. Also Dota 2 is a live chess game, where you do need to use your brain to play.

Guys, even though mod is not perfect and have its flaws, like crashing upon dieng sometimes, I have to thank you guys for the work you put by bringing gothic 1 areas back into the game.
You didn't had to, you could have put some trees behind an orc wall and call it a day. But you guys went out of your way and brought orc town, area behind old xardas tower, sunken xardas tower, old monestery, old skeleton tower, even sleeper camp, maybe other areas that I haven't encountered yet.
Holy **** was I giddy when I seen that I could actually visit these places, especially since I finished gothic 1 playthrough right before I started playing gothic 2 with your mod. So again guys, thanks for the mod :)

Hey, I have question. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but when playing default maps, let's say 2 player only map, it is possible to force spawn more players into the game. Those extra players can end up anywhere on the map. However, when having any custom maps, such thing is forbidden, and I can't force more then 2 players on a 2 player map. I found that this thing is quite a fun bug/feature, since me and AI can end up in weird places at the beginning of the round, and it is fun to try and adapt to the surroundings to try and build a base. I was wondering if it is possible to make this work in custom maps?

First you need to get have at least 1 point in magic. Then you need to find a town that sells magic and spells to your race, for example skeleton (Tomb Kings, Sylvania).Then once in a town, press Town Activities, you should see a mage guild, enter it, then you select a magic school, learn it, and buy spells.
To cast a spell you must equip spell item which was given by mages guild into your weapon slot, note that you cannot have ranged weapons.
To switch between spells, press V and B keys.
More information on which races can learn which magic schools, in your Warsword Conquest module folder, look for a folder "Documentation", there is PDF file that explains it.Hope it helps.

So I made a separate new folder for the mod with the patch,started the new game, and problems are still there. Will download patch 1 again and see if problems persist.

Edit: Downloading mod with patch, and making fresh install, doesn't solve the problems.

After I patched the game, every lord now have -10 reputation with me, even if I start a new game. What is this ****.

Edit: Even tavern keeper is -10 reputation. Same with ransom broker, companions, arena master, shop keepers.
Even when I check my own character, it sais that my own character is suspicious towards himself.
I am checking all lords and ladies. Apparently, not everyone is suspicious, but wast majority of characters are.

Alright so here is what you have to do, to enjoy the new units.

Firstly download this mod, put it somewhere, like a desktop.
Then download a turtle Pack tools, they will be needed to extract files from Graphics and Interfac (I assume you only want units, since this is what I have done). Link to turtle pack: Aok.heavengames.com

Now open your game directory then go \resources\_common\drs and back up both graphics and interface folders in case you ever want to reverse the changes. I just copied both folders to desktop and renamed them to graphics BACKUP and interface BACKUP and moved them back into the same folder. Since you have backup, we can finally move on.

Now once you got the tools, extract them and launch the Turtle Pack, select DRS editor 1.6.3.
Extract your downloaded graphics mod AoE2 HD re-skin to the desktop, open it and go to Re-reskin mod.
Now drag graphics.drs file to your opened turtlepack editor, or just open the file in the Turtlepack editor and you should see a list of files, if you inspect them, you can actually see new unit sprites.
Now in the turtlepack editor, go to the Edit(E) option and press Select all, then go to Edit(E) again and select Extract file(E) or just press CTRL+E.
Now you will be asked location where to extract the files. I recommend making some New Folder on desktop and just extract files there, since there will be 1768 files.
Once you extract all those 1768 files, just copy all of them and move them to \resources\_common\drs\graphics folder. You will be asked to overwrite, do it with all files.
Now do the same thing with interfac file and move all those extracted interfac files to your \resources\_common\drs\interface folder, overwrite.

If you did everything right, when you enter the game, you will see new units, both in normal games and in map editor. Hope this helps.

And undeads face, is it fixed yet? There is a line in the middle of the skull that doesn't connect to the other side, this is noticible even when looking into the picture of the model. Maybe there is a way I could fix it for myself, at least for now.

Alright another things to say, dunno if they were mentioned before, but I couldn't find them, so I am posting here.

Sylvanian troops armor which should have transparency, have black color instead of transparent spots.

Sylvanian militia troops like buttlers have way too bright weapons and some parts of clothing. I seen same thing with Herald of Khorne.
Some lords running with no names at all like "What will be the name of your kingdom?".

Some spots on the map where patrols get stuck, like a mountain on the boarder of Empire and Bretonia.

Obviously broken naval part.

Some ogre merceneries cannot be spoken to in taverns. Doesn't matter how hard I tried to run into them or away from them, I can't seam to talk to them. This happened in pirate fortress.

Some map visual bugs like a huge distorted line on the sea.

Not all weapons are showing on the character. Before I could see pistol on my characters belt, but not anymore. Would be neat to have this small feature to come back.

I work as a mercenery for Sylvania, but sometimes for some reason I loose reputation with the dwarfs when I never attack or do anything to them.

Also I have a suggestion. Since races do have their own racial perks, I wonder if player could have them by playing a specific race aswell.

I apologise if these were mentioned before, I haven't been here for a long while, and only returned playing mount and blade after a long break.

I like your answer. I did looked into warhammer lore, and it makes sense that Empire is so huge. After all Sylvania is just one province of the empire.

I wonder why is it that Empire and Kislev always have such large number of troops on them. I fight for weak Sylvannia, and when we managed to beat a lord with 400+ troops, he will sooner or later going to come with the same amount of force. So many lords running around with 300+ troops, while at best I seen 1 lord of Sylvannia with 250. I wonder if this was intentional, or is it just in my game that Chaos and Sylvannia are getting raped by Empire and Kislev.

I can explain it to you. When you visit an arena master in a city, he can teach you dodge and igore pain skills. Ignore pain skill goes with your ironflesh, the higher the better. The more ironflesh, the less damage you will recieve, and you get a message saying that iron flesh soaked X amount of damage.
Dodge skills scales with agility and weight is a factor, the lower the better. When someone attacks you, the hit that would normaly damage you would not register it's damage and you get a message "You dodged an attack".

I wonder if you can spar with your companies in a training field. I found that sparring with my recruits helps to train them faster.

I have noticed that making a profit is quite easy now. At first I had trouble with money, until I noticed how cheep you can aquire certains goods, specialy at viliges and then sell them somewhere else for huge profits. I think it is all intentional, because if you look at the units and how much you have to pay them weakly, specialy ogres, then making 5k in a small run is pretty normal.

Yeah they do loose it, that is why I mainly play on their side. Kislev is constantly invading chaos lands and devouring them, and I'm being a mercenary, do my best to help chaos in this time of need.

Jokes aside, I think that problem with chaos is that they have strong units, specialy in higher tier, but their numbers are lower. Kislev can train their units way faster, and their army is versatile, they have infantry, good cavalry, and decent ranged units.
