They do indeed look good, but as with other mods changing the NPC models I think it'll change the vibe so much, that it won't work for me.
It's strange, I know. The original models are outdated af, they stopped looking good years ago, but "better" NPC models always destroy the game for me.
Hope everyone else enjoys them though.

Modding support would be a great thing, but I think as further graphics quality and detail density are developed in base games, as harder does it get to maintain the quality as a free time hobby programmer/mapper.
ID guys might consider something like that no matter how important modding support is, to boost interest in a game for a long time.
But that's just something that crossed my mind.
And if they don't add modding tools...there'll still be Ion Maiden.

It should not. It takes place on the west coast and is a follow up of the original games where the 10mm was a pretty blocky piece of metal.
If you know the values and the files they are stored in, you can just extract the gamedata and put the relevant files into a self made gamedata-folder within the correct structure. Just look for a working extraction tool and the needed values of other mods/addons.

I have a problem related to the bandit merc suit.
I just bought it from the trader at dark valley and tried to put it on, which resulted in a ctd getting a fatal error and these lines in the "xray_*.txt:

I have a clean install of CoC and manually installed the updates v1.3.05 and v220.127.116.11 as well as OWR3.0.5.
I have increased the values for the carry capacity in actor and system files, started a new game as bandit on Stalker-difficulty and played for 3 hours without problems until the described problem showed up. I gave it a second try with the same result.
So I don't know if it's a bug or connected to my capacity changes.
Hope you can help me or it's helping you.
EDIT: I just tried to put on the bandit trenchcoat. Same result.
I changed the max_weight, max_ruck (in system.ltx) and max_item_mass, max_walk_weight (in actor.ltx) back to their default values and the error still occurs.
Buying and wearing the sunrise suit as Loner worked fine. But it was another installation.
I always liked photograph-textures. Even if the quality isn't very good, it feels more realistic and atmospheric to me as the HD textures of Far Cry 3 for example.
