Late reply, But I am also having a GPU throttling issue as well and my system also is well above the minimum req. Yet I still get massive FPS hits for so reason, this is being ran with a fresh install on a Phenom II X4 955BE @ 3.8GHz, 8GB of ram and a R9 270X with 4GB of ram. I don't recall this issue with the game stock either. But this issue is almost game breaking.

Ya wtf was MS thinking forcing us to use a touch based OS ? They didn't even have the common sense to have a Win 7 theme so at least there's a transition, but no they just wanted to try an 1 up Apple, I wonder how that went...lolz

and a Start Menu! C_C why take that away!...

I seem to get a MASSIVE FPS hit when the UNSC fights each other, and its the same kind of FPS hit with either current version of the mod, weather its the shader version or not its the same, so I'm thinking its related to the amount of particles.

I have also noticed a Really odd thing that happens when I get these FPS hits and that is that my GPUs usage percentage go's Down C_C lol you'd think it would go up though with more effects/particles on screen :/. these are some things you may want to look into if not already :P, either way I like this mod lols.

For Reference here are my PCs Specs.

AMD Phenom II X4 955BE @ 3.9GHz
8GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
HD4890 1GB (915MHz Core, 1GHz Memory)
This system rarely see's CPU temps past 40C and my 4890 now almost never see's 50C with the 120mm fan I have modded to the Zalman cooler, stays as cool as my CPU most the time lols.

This is the most stable HW2 mod I have played in a Long time and it looks Great! keep it up I want to see this get to its final cut :D.

looked in the .rar and there's no readme ? and for some reason even when I setup the shortcut I cant get the mod to run ? is there a specific way I need to have the target field set as ?

This is crashing everytime I try to play a game as the republic ? is this happening with anyone else ?

Ok Scratch that I can't seem to start a game AT ALL no matter what, HW2 starts up fine etc but when I try to start a new game it instantly crashes to the desktop :/.

This *https://www.moddb.com/mods/fwtow/images/new-mc-80-texture5#imagebox* is the kind of plating I was expecting on most if not all corelian made/designed ships, I don't mean to bash anyone but those whitish/green textures that are on some of those ships is way to bright, not to mention color seems off in my honest opinion, I think what's shown above is perfect for corelian ships :), don't take this the wrong way you guys are doing some amazing things with FL, There's just a few tweaks here an there I think would just make it all that much better :D.

I'm wondering is this a standalone or is an install of FL needed, I have 2 installs actually so no worries there I'm just curious :D.

Can't wait to get my hands on one of those Corellian Cruiser's! ganna be some epic battles when all said an done!

Will 4.86 also add support for DX9 like what they have done with FreeWorlds ? that would be epic if 4.86 had that capability!

Yup that was totally the issue lol now when I startup FL I instantly hit the SP button to go ingame an it works. :D

Ok I've tried everything I can think of to get this to work other then deactivating the new shaders, ganna see it thats the issue as I'm kinda thinking it mabe, though I don't know why that would be the case I'm using an HD4890 C_C lols

Does this mod have something against being ran on Win 7 64bit ? cause even with all the suggestions and re-installations etc etc I can't get this to work it doesn't even get to the main menu before it crashes out.

That's the thing I don't have any saves let alone a saves folder, unless its some place other then in the My Documents folder ?

For some reason my FL crashes when I startup this mod on a fresh FL install, it'll get past the intro's then load the menu an crash ? any idea's. I'm posting this here since the site is down :(

With all the new features I'm seeing in this mod, what's the overall load going to be like on the PC ? As in CPU and GPU load, is it going to be much more then the original FL *I'm guessing it will be* or is it not going to be really bad. My PC is running a Phenom II X4 955BE @ 3.7GHz, 6GBs of DDR2 800MHz and a HD4890 1GB, I play most if not all my games at 1920x1080p so just wondering the impact this TC will have on PCs when its released. :)

It would seem after some looking around that this mod and some of its team (that I know of) have all gone to work on the other star trek mod, I was wondering why I was seeing some oddly similar models on both and backgrounds.

I hope this isn't dead >.< looks great so far an they had shields! OMG!
