No.The weapons haven't been modified at all. What have been changed are : the characters stats (which depends on their weight, training, armor, if they are bosses,...), the rarity of bullets in the Hard Boiled and Dead on Arrival difficulties, the damage bonus for headshots (which has been increased), also now the player isn't immune when jumping around in slow motions (so when playing with the mod, jumping around whil shooting isn't always the best choice anymore and it is often - but not always - more rewarding to stand your ground, slow down the time and aim for the head).

Modding the original sky and skyline textures so they look better was my original plan but the problem is that the resolutions of the original textures are too low. Upscaling textures (like the mod Max Payne Remastered 1.3 does) improve how the normal textures look (it makes them more sharp and detailed), but unfortunately it does not improve how the skies and the 2D distant buildings in the horizon look. So, it was necessary to replace the skyboxes (sky + skyline) completly.

For the moment, I have only made a youtube video about the visual changes.
Just note that the video on Youtube looks darker than when you play ingame.
The pictures I posted on Moddb are what you see when you play the game in 1920x1080 with all options to the max + the WidescreenFix patch.

Name of the video : Max Payne 1 Mod : Noir York City v1.5 (HD textures and gameplay tweaks).

For the _UNKNOWN folder, the only thing I can say for sure is that mostly of its files are used by the DLC quest "The Missing Link".

As for the files which control the flow of conversations in HR, I don't know anything about that.

Yes, the IA in Deus Ex Mankind Divided is really dumb and the takdedowns overpowered.
But the version 1.021 of the mod tries to fix that : The characters now react way faster, bullets impacts and destroying grids make more noises and also the takedowns need to be performed very close to the opponents. Also, not possible anymore to stay cloaked when doing a takedown. It is still far from being perfect but the game is a little bit harder now.

Well, different tastes, I guess :)
Theses changes (partially) fix the awfully balanced xp system which kinda forced the player to play as a stealthly and non-lethally hacker.
Because, why choose other roads when the hacking road grants the more rewards ?
Why use a password or a code to unlock a computer and get zero xp bonus while hacking it will give you reward ?
In Deus Ex 1, the player wasn't rewarded for hacking a stupid alarm panel or consols and computers.
Theses changes were made so however you choose to play, you get around the same rewards.
Between, you still get the "Smooth Operator" and "Ghost" awards, thought.
As for the side quests, they still grant items and for a few quests actually you are more rewarded than originally (Ex: If you let O'Malley go, you get 10,000 credits, which is the price of 2 praxis kits).
Just, now, you are not forced to do theses quests anymore : Depending of what weapons you use, you may accept or refuse them.
You can even KO the quest givers and grab their items without any penalties.

Now, for running longer, the mod already allows that but not too much (Because it would allow the player to just sprint to escape the enemies in some maps).
As for busting through walls and just stun NPCs instead of killing them, it is possible to do it without any mod : If you use the "See through Walls" aug, wait until the npc go a little bit away of the wall and then destroy the wall and he will get KO'ed (but you gotta time it correctly, thought).

As for modding the typhoon and making the Missing Link optional, that's a little bit too complicated.
But the new bonus items the player obtains when he get his equipment back makes this part of the game more enjoyable.

Yes. To completly unlock all of Adam Jensen's augmentations, now you will need 100 praxis kits while in the previous version, you needed around 130-135 kits.
Basically at the end of the game, Now your Jensen will ends up with around 55-60% of his augmentations enabled.

Not every update but this one heavily changes the augmentations tree, so it may cause problems with savegames made while playing older versions.
However, for upgrades which change only the items (how much spaces they take, how they stack, ect...), old savegames aren't a problem (In this case, it is necessary to just drop everything from the inventory and save again, then install the new version of the mod, and then load the save and it should work).

The cloak augmentation has 3 states : Base, Upgrade 1 and Upgrade 2.
So in the file, there are 3 paragraphes to mod so the cloaking augmentation doesn't consume energy at all.
If you mod only the paragraph corresponding to the base Cloaking augmentation and not the paragraphs corresponding to the upgrade 1 and upgrade 2, then the Cloaking augmentation won't consume energy only when you are using the base stage of the aug. If you upgrade the aug with praxis kits to its upgrade 1 and upgrade 2 form, then it will consume energy normally in theses 2 stages.

The problem can comes from here : Did you test the 3 states of the Cloaking aug ? Maybe you modded only the base aug, the upgrade 1 or the upgrade 2 ? The problem can possibly comes from here.

NB : The version 1.01 adds additional features to the mod :
Weapons characteristics changed, large inventory, shorter blurred vision effect after using some consumable items, ect...
And the version 1.012 fixes a bug in the training optional mission at the TF 29 Headquarters : There wasn't enough spare parts to unkock the training pistol's automatic fire mod.

For the moment, it is just possible to remove the energy consumption of some of the augmententations (like cloaking, punch through walls, the rebreather aug, ect...). But it isn't possible to do that with all augmentations (For example, for now it is impossible to remove the energy consumption of the takedown). Search for the hex code 29 2E 5F AE (292E5FAE) in your hex editor. Before this code, some augmentations have 02 and 01 (01 means that when the augmentation is used, the energy is drained little by little. So if you want to disable the energy consumption, replace this 01 with 00).

No, unfortunately the mod works only with the Director's Cuts version of the game.
Well, since the normal version and the Director's Cuts version have a different number of files and since in each version the locations of theses files are differents, the ID codes of the items as well as other hexadecimal data are also different in each version.
That's why a mod for the Director's Cuts version won't work with the normal version of the game.

If in your version you have a small file with the name "patch" (For example: "patch2.000" which weight around 30Mo), then you can use it as a container instead of the special Revived.000 file.
In this case, normally you won't have to use any speciall dll file. If you don't have a patch like this to use however, you will probably have to rebuild everything.
But there may be another solution :
1) Install the Debug Menu / Map selector Mod for your version of Deus Ex Human Revolution made by Gibbed,
2) Then extract the debug map selector mod archive with the Gibbed tools,
3)Use my tutorial which explains how to add files to an existing mod archive.
Normally, it should work.

The game works with the Steam version of Deus Ex Human Revolution Director's Cuts (The version which includes the Missing Link DLC and all others DLCs).
Maybe you have a different version of the game ? Or maybe you need to update your version of the game (by installing the latest patches) ?

Yes, the data is found inside the file "pickup_database.drm".
To add more damage upgrades to the silenced sniper rifle, go to this weapon's paragraph and look at the ligne 00045024 (0000AFE0 if your hexadecimal editor shows the ligne in hex).
You have the values :
03 00 00 00 02 04 03 02 01 02 01 02 00 00 00 00.
The 02 04 is the damage (04 default power + 2 damage upgrades).

NB : The default power doesn't change the weapon's power so you can decrease it if you want.
But making the weapon equips more damage upgrades will increase it's power.
So at first, try replacing 02 04 by 06 04 (so 6 upgrades can be equipped, if you are still not satisfied, then try 09 01 = Base power = 1 and 9 upgrades can be equipped).

For the silenced sniper rifle, yes now you can kill regular enemies with headshots, unless they wear a full helmet (for police npcs, you can now one shot them by targeting their face).
As for the nerfed pistol, you can still kill normal enemies with a single headshot (unless they wear a helmet).

Hi man,

the file "s_scn_det01_sq04_payoff_det_adam_apt_c" contains the payment amount if you let O'Malley escape in the secondary quest "Cloak & Daggers".
Originally, O'Malley gives 3,000 credits for letting him escape but in the mod I changed that to 10,000.

As for making the merchants to be able again to buy items from you infinitely, you will have to edit each item's paragraph in the file "pickup_database.drm" (NB: There are just 1 or 2 values to change in each paragraph so it's not that long to change that).

For example : In 1:40 in this video : Youtu.be , see the paragraph highlighted in blue ? It is the "Claymore Ammo" paragraph which corresponds to the Typhoon ammunition.
In this paragraph, the ligne just before the text contains the following data :
05 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 03 00 00 00
(NB: It's ligne 00021808 / or 00005530 if you have configured your hexadecimal editor to displays the lignes number in hexadecimal rather than in decimal).

So, in this ligne :
05 00 00 00 = The merchants have 5 Typhoon ammos in their stock.
01 00 00 00 = The player can sell the Typhoon ammo a certain number of time only (replace this by 00 00 00 00 to make it infinite).
03 00 00 00 = If the typhoon ammo can be sold a fixed number of times : How many times ? (Here, the merchants' stocks become full after the player has sell them typhoons ammos 3 times).
03 00 00 00 = Are the typhoon ammos sold in pack or 1 by 1 ? Here 03 00 00 00 indicates that 3 typhoons ammos are sold at once.

The method is the same for the others items.

It is quite strange but the gameplay in Mankind Divided is way more balanced and... more easy in the same time.
As for removing takedowns totally in Human Revolution, it is possible. Same for removing totally the energy regeneration. The only thing which I haven't found so far when it comes to regeneration is the health regeneration (It is most likely located in the dificulty settings, since disabling the health augmentation doesn't disable it). Anyways, I agree too, it would have been better if Stealth wouldn't have been forced on the player.
