all I learned was that there are prettier people on the net than these celebrities xD

In all honesty, i downloaded the whole batch of pictures because ever since "Chuck" started back in 2007, i had a fantasy to see Yvonne Strahovski nude, i simply adore that girl. Sadly out of all the celeb pictures, hers were fake.

Anyway, my thoughts:

In this day and age, people would rather want to know what are all these celebrities eating, wearing, doing, who are the *******, who do they hate, then about wars, famine, world going to **** and stuff like that.

I don't see what's the big deal. All these "celebrities" wanted to became famous mostly because of money and because they wanted the attention, and now they've got it.

This doesn't happen to normal people. Do you know if your neighbour has nude pictures or a home made porn ? No you don't. And even if you did, you wouldn't give a ****. Why ? Well because they are not famous. Things like these are gonna keep "fappening" to the "celebrities". The question is not "if" it's gonna happen but "when" it's gonna happen.

And yet fully knowing that, they chose to take nude pictures, make home porno and do other silly stuff, but when it gets "stolen" they are outraged, because their "private" stuff is now known to public.

Well here are the solutions to this so called "problem":

#1 Keep doing what you're doing, and accept the fact that stuff like that is gonna get leaked sooner or later.

#2 Stop storing stuff like this on your ******* smart phones, computers, clouds and other ****. Put it on an USB stick or burn it to a CD and put it in the ******* safe. If you think that's not good enough, get a ******* safe deposit box in a bank and store your **** there, banks don't get robbed that often. And even if they are robbed, they look for money not your nude pictures.

#3 DON'T ******* DO IT, it's as easy as that. DON'T take a selfie when you are nude, DON'T make a porn.

#4 And finally, just quit. Stop being famous, take an early retirement. They've all got enough money to live like kings and queens for the next 500 years. Over time people will forget about you.

Damn, i can't believe the FBI got involved into this, i'm not an American but i'm sure they've got much more important things to do then hunt down the person who leaked all this...

Anyway that's all from me on this subject, thank you all and have a nice day.

It sucks that this happened, but they really should have known in the first place that when you enable cloud saving, deleting it from your device doesn't delete it all together. Pretty much nothing is secure on the internet. Not to say the hacker shouldn't be reprimanded for his crime.

I'm more interested in the ridiculous statements by the media, branding any who look at the photos rapists and such. TJ, The Amazing Atheist made a decent video on the subject of media hypocrisy, and I agree with it. The same chest-slapping moralfags who were calling all of us voyeuristic rape ghouls were uploading images of male celebrities and encouraging readers to rate their *****. That's ******* ********.

That's my take on it.

I don't get it: those women took pictures of themselves to please certain men, yet it's sexism when men look at them?

It's only sexist when you're not the one the pictures were meant for I guess.

I think it's less about sexism and more about the breach of privacy...

The media is certainly turning this into a misogyny ****-show.

Though just a little friendly reminder from a technological point of view, while current methods of breaching privacy are still mostly too complex for the average person to use, perhaps in the future the methods might be easier and more accessible to more people, meaning that a wider range of people, not just the rich and famous, are under some kind of threat that involves their stuff/information being breached...

People shouldn't just simply passively accept breaches of privacy.

Well the entirety of the U.S. pretty much passively accepts breaches of privacy in the form of the NSA.

Well, that's part of the problem. For a supposed independence loving, pro-small government people it's surprising that they simply accept the long tentacles of government that easily. Then again, for most people, as long as the midnight knock happens to someone else they couldn't give a damn!

Of course, then there's the hypocrisy of all stripes from all sides derailing any serious attempts at the actual problem that of the ease of which online information can be compromised.

What irritates me the most is what was already mentioned, the media hypocrisy. They did way worse. We only saw those images, they have published private images of celebrities. (Paparazzis aren't known for respecting celebrities' privacy, but still they pay a lot of money for those photos.)

They are calling people who SAW those images rapist, that's beyong ridiculous.

And even worse, the feminists are putting the blame on men, as if only men liked to see women naked, and women had no desire to see men naked. Well, both sexes like to see the other naked, it's the universal law of things. (Except for homosexuals, they like to see their own sex naked, but they still like to see nude people.)

And too serve as evidence, there was a video that talked about the Fappening that also mentioned a guy from a band that had his nude photos leaked (Not a part of The Fappening). The amount of women on the comment section asking for links to the images was huge.

The hacking will never stop, the fact these people became not only celebrities, but sex symbols (most of them because of their own actions), only makes them targets. The only way someone can be sure their nudes aren't going to be leaked, is if their never exist. You can't go wrong with that.

Besides, I fail to see the logic behind taking nude pics of yourself, it just doesn't make sense, if you want to see yourself naked, just go in front of a mirror. (And don't use the excuse of a partner that is away from you because of how much you travel because of work, a few days/weeks will not destroy a good relationship, unless it's based around sex.)

Honestly they had it coming. If you're stupid enough to not understand that storing personal files on a server that does not belong to you can lead to leaks then you seriously had it coming. The fact that it took this long actually surprises me...
