Vapour is an experimental horror, that fuses horror (both old school and modern) with the frantic game play of classic First Person Shooter titles. Blending Horror, Shooter, Action, Puzzle and Platformer in a dynamic yet cohesive combination.
In Vapour you take on the role of a psychotic warlock known only as "Charles", who has been held captive and brutally tortured his entire life by a sadistic cult. After being executed for his crimes, Charles used his last ounce of strength to avoid total damnation.
Now, trapped between the borders of Purgatory and Hell and with his powers diminished, Charles must battle through hordes of demons, face his haunting past and ultimately make it back to earth to exact his revenge on those who have wronged him.

the pictures that kept showing up on my screen prevented me from seeing where I was going, thus causing me to die. Hopefully there will be none of that
Dont worry, we've balanced the gameplay out in the full version to be a bit more refined.
I played this a while back (unfortunately before I had my let's play channel) and it is LITERALLY the only horror game to ever force me to Alt+F4 out of it. When the faces show up screaming at you, I couldn't handle it. It wasn't how sudden it was or anything, cuz I can handle jumpscares. I think it was just how violent and realistic it was. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
Glad you liked the prototype, be aware though the jumpscares are going to be even more intense in the full version ;)

great game but needs to be more scary
Dont worry, we are working on a ton of things for the full version (from enemies, to more dynamic jump scares and bosses as well as more balanced level design). The full version is gonna knock your socks off.
