This is build 1935 of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl, formally called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Oblivion Lost. This was made by GSC Game World before they remade it and it was finally released in 2007. This was released by them after requests from fans of the game.

Is there a way to avoid military gunning down the guy behind the train tracks?
Because each time I try to avoid the militaries, they kill the guy from the quest, then the whole Military complex goes (OMG KILL TEH PLAYER) and a chopper rekts me with rockets...
Actually as far as I'm concerned, even dogs trigger the chopper gunning down my ***
Not that I know of, I have not run into that issue.
You can try to watch Russian gameplay videos on YT to see if they do it differently.
I had heli issue when I did the mission in cordon to kill the controller. Once the controller spanws, heli goes crazy and If you silly man, run outside of the factory to escape controllers mental field you get massacred by the heli %D Never happened to me with dogs or anything =D
There is a new OFFICIAL translation Fixx29 out on the official site, you no longer required to use this old one which his pretty bad despite our effort.
