Is an opensource real-time strategy game in development on the spring engine.
It is goal is to recreate the 95/96 hit games that shaped RTS as a genre, command and conquer and red alert by westwood studios in full 3D and with extensions on a modern engine powerful and flexible.
All units and structures from TD, RA and their respective expansion packs.
In addition there are a few extra units included that were not ingame but shown on
cutscenes and a few that are reasonable to assume that they
were used.
Stunning visual quality and effects bringing the C&C world alive as you know and love to 3D.
Units can gain veterancy bonuses by doing damage.
Random crates, lots of good and some nasty suprises, almost like xmas everyday.
Clean and powerful interface, to allow execution of complex strategies easily and command your forces without having to babysit them more than nececary.
All support powers from TD and RA and 2 or 3 new ones.
Customizable game rules to play many kinds of matches in different ways.
And lots lots more.
Hard to believe but this project has been in the works for about over a year now.
I have had many problems in other areas and had to assign this a lower priority.
Not so much has been done in its time, to my shame.
It has been a bit of a rough time for me, as it usually comes down, but thats a tale for another time.
Tough i had managed to fix up some projects of mine and now im a bit more at ease and can hopefully focus on the issue.
Tough a few loose ends remain that i wish to close up first, but il try working more at it on the side and hopefully fix the difficult issue that is now halting development.
Which it is exactly, due to the complexity of modeling programs available and my own impatience at the beginning i chose a very different approach to generate models.
Which now in time has proven to be a liablity, but i cannot really work around it effectively, so im stuck with fixing the core issue.
The problem is that my method produces hidden faces and terrible uv maps.
Being a programmer i had writen my own converter, but the nature of this work rather difficult.
So for the time being i still after a year have not a single proper uvmapped and consequently textured unit.
There are other things to work out aswel ofcourse.
Its unlikely i manage get a present for ya, this year.
Atleast il try uploading an extra screenshot.
I renamed this project to operation red dawn and decided to remake TD and RA fully.

keep it up i hope this is more better than C&C generals
Well i always saw generals and zero hour in specific as the top of rts design so i really doubt i could make a better game, or much better atleast.
Even then i am fairly restrcited by what was in tiberian dawn, so this is just going to be an upgraded td mostly.
