This is the bonus CD-Rom that came with the April 2000 issue of the Gaming magazine PC Zone, On this disk is 500 Half-Life maps, Several half-life mods including War in Europe, Science and Industry, and classic Counter Strike (before steam), Also included is 500 Quake 3 maps, and player models and several mods, Mods and player models for Unreal Tournament, and finally included are various utilities like WinZip and Gamespy.
This CD came from archive.org and I do not own or take credit for the CD either.
To install Half-Life maps, Drag the BSP files to the Maps folder of Half-Life and place them there, Then in the console type the name of the map and you will warp there, Installing mods is easy:Just run the installer on the mods that have these, in the case of those in folders place those into the half-life folder and they will appear in custom games.
To install Quake 3 Arena maps drag them to the basq folder and place them under maps, Player models work just like mods but go under basq and then under player, mods are placed in the mods folder, To install Unreal tournament mods you have to place these which are identified as a Umod folder to the Addons folder in the game folder, Player models go into the models folder.
good job do more please i like it
Left to right: Doom, Quake (I guess) and Half-Life of course!
Correction: Quake 3('Doom' player model), Unreal Tournament, Half-Life.
This was quaint to look through, good for archival purposes too, I wonder if some of this stuff can't be found anywhere else, thank you for the upload.
Just looked through it for a bit and... wow, that's quite the collection of stuff made for those games. Looks like a lot of it is stuff that can't be found anywhere else online, too.
It's very kind of you to upload this. I couldn't find my old copy of this disk so hoped it may be online, and thanks to you, it is. Much obliged.
Damn, what's some rare stuff, thanks for sharing!
This is really great, thank you for posting! I'm pretty sure I had this issue too :D
