Gone are the days of CS:GO looking weapon positions. Hello to the beautiful Tarkov/Rising Storm 2 weapon positions. Much of the weapon repositions made within this mod are aimed for a less-obtrusive display of your weapon on-screen, to ensure that nothing gets in the way while also looking stylish.
A methodical and optimal weapon reposition mod, for both Vanilla and BaS weapons. Introduces a lot of Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, Ground Branch and Escape from Tarkov inspired weapon positions to give them a more surreal approach to point aiming, as well as alternate aiming sights. Gone are the days when your weapon blocks half of your screen when in a ready and lowered position.
Please note that this addon is a WIP, not all weapons are complete. The plan is to cover every weapon that I can in vanilla and Boomsticks and Sharpsticks.
Requirements
You need the following add-ons in order for things to function properly and as intended:
Recommendations
Installation
Install via MO2. Place anywhere in the load order and launch your game.
The mod is DLTXified, so you do not need to worry about other addons overwriting this.
Game Settings
It is recommended to use an FOV of ~70 degrees and a HUD FOV of ~50. You may tweak these settings as you please but some repositions may have undesired effects, like arms clipping through the camera.

Think you can include a list in the description specifying which weapons are covered so far?
Really looking forward to using this addon instead of EFT repo, given that it is actually DLTXfied and the preview looks quite nice.
Yup! I will add a general list of all the weapon code names to the description.
Glad to hear you're enjoying the mod! :D
классная работа. Друг я сейчас как раз собираю все оружия для BaS может я просто его тебе дам и ты под него изменишь правильное положение?)) в одном паке будут все оружия с moddb
List added, see near the end of the description.
Hi, got this error when trying to use this mod.
FATAL ERROR
[error]Expression : BI_NONE != bone
[error]Function : CDamageManager::load_section
[error]File : F:\ANOMALY BUILDS\xray-1.5.2 - UPDATE 2024.01.30\xray-monolith\src\xrGame\damage_manager.cpp
[error]Line : 93
[error]Description : aim_hud_offset_pos
Not really sure, could be a dime a dozen. My guess is likely another mod conflict or some bad part of the config when you equipped a weapon. What weapon were you holding at the exact time it crashed?
Hi, i discover that Weapon_Inertia_Redux_2.2 causes the error.
Will this addon overwrite EFT repos? I just have EFT repos installed and I installed your addon. He didn't overwrite anything. Will they work together correctly?
Most likely. You will also get an undesired result if you use the two as their values tuned to specific ways will collide.
I recommend just using this, as I am planning to cover everything, with styles similar to Tarkov and other games.
Looks great! But the ak 104 alpha when going ads is offset to the left when I have a sight on but ok when I use ironsights. Any idea what could be causing it?
Could you provide screenshots showing it? I think I have an idea of what you're talking about but want to make sure.
Could you also list the exact names of each sight that's problematic?
Sent you a message.
Fixed, download 0.3.0 and let me know if it is fixed on your end.
Everything is working as intended it seems. Great work!
what mod use for the shoots sounds?
JSRS and a few select others.
Does blindsides reanimation work? I noticed that alot of the guns are much farther due to them being designed for a lower hud fov than this mod is for. I also noticed that the sawnoff aiming is aligned very strangely.
ok sorry that was a dumb question it didnt realize description was updated. if you could get around to reposition more weapons in the future that would be awesome!
Yup, that's the plan! I plan on covering all of the weapons in the game, plus BaS weapons.
pmm (bas) sights dont line up :(
Will fix, thanks for reporting.
when it comes to scoped weapons, i'd honestly prefer the alternative aim to use the ironsights if they're unobstructed instead of switching to point aim
very good mod tho, im very excited to see this completed
is this mod compatible with gamma?
Unsure, you're welcome to test and find out yourself but I highgly doubt it honestly.
hello, I got an error after installing this:
Shader Compilation Failed
any thoughts about it?
This mod has nothing to do with shaders, so it is definitely something with your modded setup.
Maybe a stupid question, but what happens if I have another weapon mod added, I also use Retrogues additional weapons which adds guns to the game.
Does it conflIct in any way or can these 2 work next to each other since your mod doesn't touch the weapons in this pack?
Nothing should, as long as they don't touch or edit the guns edited by this mod. This does nothing more than reposition vanilla and BaS weapons with the listed animation mods int he requirements. If that mod by chance changes animations and/or HUD elements of the weapons in this, then it will likely conflict.
Cool, thanks!
I am currently installing all the required mods before this one, it's taking quite some time since all of the reanimation mods are required as well.
Especially since I am running into issues with those mods, I am starting with the oldest reanimation mod and making my way up.
none of those mods (so far) are correctly packed for bain/MO2 so I have to correct it myself (not hard at all), not all discriptions indicate correctly that I need other mods before installing the re-animation, so I end up with missing textures but fixed that as well.
And the first one M82 Reanimation simply won't work at all and instant crashes when equiping.
Nothing you can do about that, and I will post this problem on the page of that mod, however I am wondering what happens if I can't install 1 of those reanimation mods.
Will the game break/crash or will it simply look weird when using the gun.
If that is the case I can just avoid using the M82 and I should be fine.
That's weird, those reanimations shouldn't require anything other than the base game.
Make sure you don't have any conflicting mods that inadvertently change assets that those weapons use, I.E. textures or whatnot.
But yeah, the reason for all of the reanimation mods is because this addon is derived from my modpack, and making another version of this addon just for the changes without would be time consuming.
Hi, good work, the vanilla spas new position is messed up.
Hey this is a great mod!
One thing tho is some of the weapons are uncentered when aiming like this
Reddit.com
The AKS-74 also has this issue but with iron sights.
If i disable the mod they go back to aiming normaly. Any idea? I tried using the Draggable Hud mod Moddb.com
but im having difficulty, I appreciate anything you can do!
