The below method no longer works in v0.11 as its too large for any 32-bit pc players to play
2 section: If you crashed upon joing a server but you have a 64-bit PC, try lowering your graphics and Make sure you ticked 'Load Textures on demand' in warband config, otherwise crashed when joining a server
P.S. This is a very very demanding mod due to the amount of factions and items
Floris Mod have around 2300 items. This mod have over 6000 items
Be sure to tick 'Load Textures on Demand in Warband config' before you load. (this is a must, no matter if you have 32 or 64 bit PC)
Now these are the ways to help with the crashing problem - again this is a very very demanding mod. This is known as the most demanding mod in warband's history, so beware, as this will not work for low-spec pcs..a decent pc is required in order to play this mod, if you still crash after using the below information, there isn't much we can do, we have already optimized the mod size from 8.7GB to 2GB. This mod is heavily modified with a ton of factions..32 bits will crashed because 64 bits stores much more memory than 32 bits. and the fact that this mod have 4000+ items
Now, here are the solution for people who have 32 bit PC and want to play the mod. (Warning: It may only work on really strong 32 bit PC)
First of all,
if you have windows XP:
follow the following steps:
Menu Start -> Run, type sysdm.cpl and press ENTER
a window should open, go to tab Advanced -> Startup and Recovery Settings -> Edit
at this point you're editing your boot.ini file. Don't mess things up.
Look for the line with your operating system mentioned and add "/3GB /USERVA=2990" without quotes. Should look like this:

just add only the "/3GB /USER...", don't erase or add anything else as it may corrupt your booting file
save changes and reboot
Now, if you have Vista or Windows 7 and you have a 32 bit PC. Please follow the following steps:
if you are running as an Administrator go to Menu Start -> Run, type cmd and press ENTER
if not go to Menu Start -> Programs -> Accessories, press RMB on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
in Command Prompt type "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 2990" without quotes and press ENTER
reboot
That it, it is confirmed that alot of people with 'strong' 32 bit PC managed to play the mod after 'Adjusting their RAM'.
32 bit PC can use up to 2GB Max, this mod is over 2GB of 'RAM Usage' so you will crash, therefore you will have to adjust the RAM.
64 bit PC can go up to 128GB.

when I try playing my ping wildly fluctuates around in the hundreds till I get disconnected. I can play native and Napoleonic wars with ping that is just fine. my computers specs are far above those examples of computers the mod worked for. at the server screen it says my ping should be about 55 for the server usually. after I actually join it just goes off the handle and I start rubberbanding around everywhere till I disconnect.
Try to join other servers, this problem is not the mod's fault , i have seen people who go on Chinese servers etc by accident.

Im not complaining about the mod, this is easy the Best Mod for Warband i ever seen and i played all of em, but is there a way to make a Mini Version of the mod with less factions, Invasions, Items, Scenarios, Effects and Textures?
I remember a small update called (Full Invasion 2 for Normal PC's Version) or something like that, that was the only version we could play X__x

This is really annoying as i have 4gb ram 3.0 ghz processor and a 1gb Video card, but because of 32 bits it doesn't work, is it possible for you guys to change this

Um when I host a game,(I mostly play with bots)and I pick the fractions, there is no units to pick, can you plz help with this?
You are not suppose to play as invaders
32 bit system here, works just fine, even with programs run in the background.

64 bit hold much more memory than 32 bit, even if you managed to play the mod you will crash after 10 minutes due to having a 32 bit computer
64 bit is like the default thing to have for a PC system.
32 bit is like stone age these days.
how do you scroll through the factions? I can't scroll through them for some reason, so all I have to choose from is attackers.

This guide misses one GLARING weakness that I'm surprised isn't listed as first.
If you are using 32 bit, make sure you do the trick to enable 4gb ram for warband. (google it).
It really is silly that a guide that puts in bold won't work in 99.9% for 32 bit systems doesn't mention a real solution to why it causes crashes only there; because 32 bit doesn't read the RAM as well.
Here is another solution - It involves editing your system (it is confirmed that at least 10 people managed to play this mod, after editing their 32 bit system.

You have to Tick Load Textures on Demand in warband configure. Open warband, press Configure, then press Video, then tick the box that says Load Textures on Demand

It is possible to stop restarting the game after all members from party dies and to keep the money and constructed items, like is in Invasion 1 and invasion 2 v0.11. In invasion 2 before 0.11 everytime is restarting. I can play v0.10
I have Windows 7 64 bit and every time I join a server, it loads in and then my game immediately crashes. I've tried lowering my graphics to the lowest, I've followed all these steps, and I've tried verify my game cache. Nothing works. How the hell do I fix this.
Did you install the low res version? and have you try to tick load textures on demand?

So what are the minimum requirements? I can't find it anywhere on this page except that it requires 64-bit OS.
If you have a medium spec pc or below you must get the low res version.
if you crashed when joining a server your pc is not strong enough, lower graphics and use the low res version.
You may not know, Full Invasion is a massive mod that aim to have all factions from all Era with over 6500 items. Floris mod have around 2000, Full Invasion has over 6500, big difference here.

I am having this problem where the game loads about 85% then comes up with an error saying that it is unable to open a sound file. Now ive downloaded this many times and keep getting the same error.

I am having problems when the game will CTD after displaying a Runtime error. My PC specs are far above good though (16gbs of ram, and a very good graphics card). I don't know what's causing this. I have the steam version, maybe that is the issue?
