Go to where the file was installed, typically: C:\Program Files (x84)\SEGA\Medieval 2 Total War\mods\Westeros

And create a shortcut to the .bat file you find there, move the shortcut to your desktop or wherever.

No bat file, you didn't install it properly.

By "two other files" I presume you mean the installers? If so, yes :) Good luck.

I believe it should be in \Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods\

Note that I wrote this from memory and guesswork as though I have steam, I don't have Medieval 2 on it, so browse manually and you should find it. Hope it works!

ok i found it you have to sacrifice one of the game modes

1. Install as directed
2. Browse to C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Medieval II Total War\mods
3. Rename one of the Kingdoms campaign folders (Americas, Brittania, Crusades, Teutonic) to something else
4. Rename the Westeros folder to the name you changed in step 3
5. Select the name you used from the Launcher

So I downloaded the non enhanced version of this mod. I really enjoyed it so I decided to download the enhanced version but, I hit a brick wall with what files goes in which folder I think. I can get it to start up sometimes with where I put the files but, I honestly have no idea what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can this mod work for Steam? I installed the file to steamapps/common/MTWII/mods

and when I run the youngbloods or vanilla versions the game runs perfectly. When I try to now run this mod after "installing over the vanilla version" as the instructions say. I get into the game, can see the menu, I click campaign select a faction and the game shuts down?

Is anyone else having this issue?

Westeros 0.53 is Vanilla, Vanilla meaning unedited.

GoT also works on Young Bloods, an edit of Enhanced. Best to use that.

Is there a special version for youngbloods? When I run youngbloods.bat it looks like only part one is installed (although part two for enhanced was installed as well...)

I installed everything but I'm unable to launch the mod. I'm using Steam for Medieval, if that has anything to do with the issue?

Here is the easiest way to install it for disk and Steam:

1. unzip the downloaded RAR file - directly into the Medieval 2 Total War\mods directory if you are comfortable with the procedure
2. If you have unzipped the RAR file somewhere else then cut\paste the GoT_enhanced folder into the Medieval 2 Total War\mods directory
3. Download and install this starter: Twcenter.net
4. Start the game by using the new desktop shortcut. More details about the Starter in the link.

Recommendation: follow this tutorial - Twcenter.net (crashes and freezes)
