nVidia are apparently releasing the GeForce 5 soon and will not be released in australia until early next year.
well i'll be damned, if it isn't a new poll!! expect new polls to keep rolling out now, not many a mod related but hey they are fun so who cares :P

Not GeForce 5...I think it's called something like NV30 or something. "GeForce" is dead.
LOL, I had an Intel 82810 and wow was that a POS. It lagged in CS and wouldn't even run many of today's games. And I couldn't replace it because it was integrated (and the mobo had no AGP), so I had to build a new computer. Now I have a GF4 Ti 4200. Enough said.
I am actually looking to buy a new PC right now.. not sure what video card i get, but i think i'll remain loyal to GeForce, unless anyone strongly does not recommend it
Remain loyal...Drivers are such a crucial part of things working correctly, and ATI hasn't exactly won any fans with theirs.
However, I am looking hard into getting a laptop with the Radeon Mobility 9000. Its been rated well compared to the GF4 Go. And then there is other thing that sits in my head: a quote from Carmack saying something to the affect that it owned (even with d3).

Radeon 9700 is supposedly good for Doom 3, but why buy the newest/best card now, when I don't really need an upgrade till doom 3 comes out? I have a GF2 mx, and it works fine with all games out right now...I suppose I'll go with nvidia's newest card at the time of doom 3 release (or a week before, to prepare :))
Quake 2, not many people know it, but the Voodoo 2 cards were better for Quake 2 then what any of todays cards are.
I'm building my own PC with a P4 2.3ghz processor and a GeForce 4 Ti 4600. In a server frame. So I can stick in oodles (is that a word?) of hardware.
