With the E3 Expo only a month away, PCGamer + AMD have teamed up to put on the biggest PC themed show possible. They will be live-streaming it on their Twitch channel, and will be covering all manner of hot news from the industry.
But what PC themed show would be complete with mods? NONE of course! Mods are what sets the PC apart from our closed off friends in the console and mobile gaming worlds. We have the power to change our games and that needs to be celebrated. With that in mind we would like to give one (or perhaps more) mods the opportunity of a lifetime - here are the rules.
Do you want your mod on the big screen in front of millions? If so:
- Do you have a mind-blowing announcement?
- Do you have a trailer of this, that is high-res and suitable to stream?
- Is this content exclusive and ready to be revealed for the first time at E3?
If you answered yes to all of the above, then we and PC Gamer want to hear from you. Tell us what you have up your sleeve and if it qualifies - we will be in touch. It be great to see a mod shown, so lets make it happen!
Unfortunately, I don't really think modders keep their development secret (like AAA developers do), they usually announce their mod as soon as possible. I'd be very surprised to see a new mod with a lot to show at this E3 event, but I hope I'm wrong.
I think it would be cooler to show a montage of all the best mods throughout the years of PC gaming. That would be awesome.
Transmissions mod. Didn't hear about it until it was released
I have to agree.
Just take a collage of the top 10 mods on ModDB and create a trailer of that.
Sorry I should clarify that a trailer or announcement is what we are after. The mod can already be released or upcoming it needn't be a secret.
And agreed that a montage would be amazing... hard to pull together!
I have decent video-editing skill AND loads of free time. MISERY's trailers and video's were mostly done by me. I can negotiate with the other top mods if the idea should become reality
You have amazing skills. That definetely sounds quite interesting - feel free to contact me. How long does it typically take?
Considering I've been coping with my regular job and school, I spend around 3 to 4 weeks. But, luckily for me and hopefully the rest, I'm done with my exams and the first day of school will be the 7th of september!
So I've got LOADS of free time. I reckon with enough footage I could easily work out something within 1,5 weeks. IIRC I've got you on Skype, no? I can also ask Aaron?
Aaron is good to talk to - do you have a link to a few trailers you have made so I can check them out?
Here they are:
From newest to older. I used to have more, but youtube did a sweep a year or so back and I lost 2 or 3 videos, sadly.

Awesome, very cool. At this stage it might be too late to get it together for E3 - but we'd happily feature any video you make here and should chat around MOTY time!
Rise of the Reds mod is my pick
Worth a try, thank you for an opportunity!
Good Luck to you if you're participating. Hope this comment isn't strange in wording.
Brutal Doom all the way. Would go along with the big Doom 4 reveal. Yeah, I called it Doom 4.
it's trailers do kick ***
This is awesome, I'm looking forward to seeing which mod gets this opportunity.
It'll be my Blood 2 Extra Crispy mod. We all know how popular that mod is. Especially since Blood 2 still has a huge fan base.
challenge Accepted,
How long should it be?
oh, also, when are submissions due by?
Probably as soon as possible because the event is on June 16.
I have a mod :D It is called Imperium Portucale , its not yet ready to be downloaded but its on youtube and I have already upload videos and images on steam :)
Where do we sent you the videos?
