Tiberium Dusk - Ver1.23 Nod Legion Gameplay

Hi I'm back with another news update. :D

As of recent I've been working on general changes across the entire mod including buffs to AI, general gameplay rebalances, new music and new units.

One of the new units can be seen in the above video: The demolitions truck! Lightly armored but heavily armed, this moderate speed truck carries a small nuclear bomb that can cause moderate to severe damage to vehicles and can 1 shot lightly armored structures such as power plants, barracks, radar and specialized tech structures.

Leaving behind a noxious cloud of radiation and costing just $1700 credits its the perfect weapon to soften up massed enemies in a pinch.

Various other improvements have been made, such as applying radiation effects to the main Nuclear Missile, rebalances to the avatar (is now cheaper, slower but with same laser and armor (though laser is nerfed compared to vanilla)), the Traveler59 Annihilator tripod now costs $2700 credits, the Scrin Annihilator now costs $2850 credits and the Reaper 17 Tripod has an armor buff and costs $3000 credits.

The titan's speed has been reduced and costs $1500 credits. It performs very similarly to the avatar, though the avatar has more base armor, however its slower than the avatar and cannot reliably hit infantry.

The ZOCOM predator has seen a small nerf (removal of its Veteran Status on purchase) and now costs $1400 credits, however its base armor has been increased.

Blue Tiberium has seen a small buff, increasing harvesting load to 900 credits over 800.

The Reaper 17 Devourer tank has received a shield buff and mobility buff, with ingame tooltips updated to reflect this, this compensates its greater price tag (1600 v 1300) over the regular devourer tanks.

Attack Bike price for Nod Legion is reduced to 500 credits (not sure if this was present beforehand).

"Chieftain" warmech (Black Hand Redeemer) is now renamed to "Liberator".

Conqueror Supertank (GDI Marv) now renamed to "Pacifier" Supertank.

There's also the very numerous changes to Steel Talons that have gone underway. Finally there have been many songs that have been added to the game; here's the list:

  1. Packing Iron - CNC Renegade
  2. Stomp - CNC Renegade
  3. Iron Fist - CNC1
  4. Infiltration - TIBSUN Firestorm
  5. Elusive - TIBSUN Firestorm
  6. Deploy Machine - TIBSUN Firestorm
  7. 2nd Hand - Red Alert 1
  8. Backstab - Red Alert 1
  9. Shut it - Red Alert 1
  10. Smash - Red Alert 1
  11. Wasteland - Red Alert 1
  12. Soviet March - Red Alert 3 (Rare song, has roughly 1 in 28 chance of playing, compared to other songs having around 1 in 14)

Thanks to all those who've been tagging along. I look forward to releasing it relative soon. :)

Nice work so far Noire :3

Btw if you want there may be more exploding truck models you can use, which Madin made for Nod in his add-ons tab, he shared them with the community so anyone can use them :)

(they will need some edit to work in KW though)

Haha thank you. ^^

Yeah, Madin actually contacted me personally about the trucks, but problem was I can't even run Tiberium Wars to test them >.< (the entire screen goes pink, had a GPU issue for years that's gone unresolved, and that's from an original disk copy)

By that point I'd already starting messing around with the Tiberium trucks ingame (of which their texturing is completely screwed lol), so I thought it was pointless me going back on myself. I've basically taken the tiberium truck model, resized it, fixed its texturing / team colour issues and gave it a proper spec-map so it looks like an actual Nod vehicle. :3

Plus I did kinda want a truck that looks like the Ra2 version of the demolition truck, the tiberium truck does a fairly decent job.

I see, EA left the trucks and many other things with missing SPM and NM, I found myself fixing them too and make formations for them, though I didn't planned to use them, But I agree that the truck we already have in-game look more like the demolition truck (Madin also made model of the RA2 demo truck too btw ;) or so I recall )

While importing Madin's stuff to KW requires some work, it's not that hard once you know where to look at and what to do, so testing it in TW is not a must,

If you ever need help I can give a hand (once I'll figure out how I can mutant myself to grow another one xD )

Yeah, I did manage to import his Classic Mammoth tanks reasonably easily; its just there was tonnes of stuff in the demolitions truck files. xD

I do need some help actually, I'm still trying to figure out 3DSMax, I've finally managed to import the attack buggy model in reasonably well (its textured and has skeleton etc, though none of its other components / subobjects, I just imported the "newskin" part which contains the actual model)...

I wanted to add the Scorpion Tank Dozer Blade as a sub-object... but I have literally no idea where I'm going with this. Basically I tried to import the subobject mesh from the tank, which worked fine (albeit untextured); I moved it into place onto the front bars of the buggy (which looks perfect oddly) but I don't know what to do from there, how to make it as an actual subobject or how to export the final result. >.>

3dsMax is so confusing compared to something like Blender lol... I have been looking into an old Tutorial from 2007 but that's kinda awful. :/

BUT I've kinda made small steps into 3dsMax at the least. :)
