Can the Rebel Alliance, now reformed as the fledgling New Republic, re-establish the traditions of the old Republic and restore peace or will the Empire manage to unite under a strong leader to once again impose order over a lawless galaxy?

...Key Features of V0.9...

Play as the New Republic or Imperial Remnant, each with unique ship rosters, abilities, playstyles and tech trees.
Conquer the Star Wars Galaxy on several new maps with various configurations, featuring several new planet types and canon planet placements.
Completely redesigned UI, and overhauled graphical effects.
Several overhauled and all-new gameplay mechanics, such as migration, ship systems degrading with damage, and the ability to entirely destroy planets.

For a full new-user guide (don't expect to do everything the same as in Sins) and more in depth information on ship rosters, see the wiki. There's still a ton of information we're working on adding, so it'll become more useful as we go. We also have a board to help people who want to play Ascendancy online to organize games with other players, which you can find here. Keep in mind, this is a beta version and the primary purpose of it is to test features, tweak as needed and to help with balancing (which is currently still very much in progress) so please post any issues you encounter, suggestions, or feedback you may have on our forums.

Ascendancy 0.9 (Beta Version - ZIP)

Before playing the mod to increase stability, also enable Large Address Aware to bypass Sins' 2GB memory limit issues. LAA is included in the download, simply open it, set the mode to basic, find your Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion.exe file and click the box to enable large address aware, then save. This only needs to be done once, so if you have already done it for other mods you can skip this step.

Replace stock stargrounds
Finish new planet textures
Finalize New Republic and Imperial Remnant tech tress, unit/structure rosters & balancing
Galaxy work: new maps, artefact and bonus system, unique encounters, random events
Redo and clean up some art assets

Some of these may be released in smaller patches for testing on our forums as we go, but that will be decided as we finish them. Balance patches and some map packs will definitely be released before the full 1.0, however.

Yes of course; that's part of the reason we're releasing a beta. if you can we'd love if you can report them on our forums so that we can keep them all in one place. Enjoy the mod!

Question about those bug reports are we focusing on like bugs such as things not working, or do you want the 411 on misplaced sound strings and well missing text strings?

Great release .Corey. and team! Very beautiful UI and effects! Also on my first game, an Empire CPU player destroying New Alderaan with the Galaxy Gun as soon as they built it. Seemed pretty fitting; after all, every good Star Wars starts with an Alderaan getting blown up.

Okay, so I've got a bug. Marginally reproduce-able, sometime it happens, sometimes it doesn't.
Anyway, moved my capital to a Ecumenopolis named Coruscant (Go figure), and when I attempted to build any defensive platform, the game crashed. After saving immediately before doing so, and then reloading, it let me build them.

The last few months ive been playing the original TR waiting for this. Thank god is all i gotta say if i had to play another EAW ground battle i would have freaked.

It works, it's just an ability on the Acclimator which upgrades it.

The Acclamator thing is separate.

McCray, are you sure you're not confusing adding command points with increasing fighter supply? They're different things.

Just went back and checked. The tech I am talking about is Expanded hangars. Its a little confusing cause the Tooltip says antimatter +50% but the text tip says All imperial hangars are refitted to fit an additional squadron. The antimatter thing appears to work. But i was under the impression i could also build a 3rd squad of ties on an ISD-1 for example.

Also where planet exploration used to be is enlistment center the tooltip says increase supply cap. I take that as increasing fleet supply. (which if that is the case it does not seem to do)

Im still figuring my way around the mod its been a hot minute since iv played sins. Maybe im just reading things wrong.

Yeah, that;'s how expanded hangars work. It increases the supply on the ship, which means it can hold additional fighters (not deploy them at once), so you can go through more fighters without having to replenish them. There's a few of the stock tooltips we still need to track down and change, however (where supply is still called antimatter in one or two places).

As for the Enlistment Center thing, that's leftover from something I was trying a while ago that ended up being impossible to do in Sins. Exploration was meant to be entirely turned off after that until we do what we want with it, but it seems to have been reverted by someone since.

I'm loving the mod so far. Just wondering are you guys looking at adding pirates at all? Like Hutt clans or something? I think it would be a interesting addition to Ascendancy as I recall the Hutts were quite powerful at the time after the empires collaspe

This may be a stupid question but, how exactly do you build the Titan as the empire? I have all perquisite research, but there's no Titan foundry to be found.

The button is next to the Golans for both factions, there was an issue where the icon wasn't connected to the Imperial one so it can be a bit hard to find.

when i start the game it gets stuck on the logo and i use task manager it shows not responding(the normal game worked fine before i put the mod)

You might need to enable the "Large Address Aware" if you haven't already

One question, I tried looking but failed to find an answer.

I tried playing with a friend online but the AI doesn't seem to do anything. Tried different difficulty and such, but nothing. In single player they work. I don't know if we're doing something wrong or not. Sorry if this as been asked and thanks in advance.
