The Road to Edain Patch 4.1 - Khazâd ai-mênu
Greetings, companions of Edain!
With the patch 4.02 we have fixed some mistakes and adjusted a lot of problems in terms of balance. But not only that, also the gameplay has been enhanced by various improved concepts and the increase of settlements on many maps. After you've had some time to test the patch, we're still looking forward to receiving any positive or negative feedback from you. If you want to, you can post it in this Thread.
Our journey progresses and leads us to the next stage of a new faction that is waiting for you in the next patch. We believe that it is now time to make another reworked faction available, and look forward to present the fruits of our labor to our community.
In keeping with this matter, we opened a poll some time ago, with the topic which faction should be included next. The result of the poll was very clear and also coincides with our intentions. For this reason we are proud to announce that you can expect the Dwarves in the next major content Patch 4.1!
The dwarves already consist of three different dwarf realms: Ered Luin, Erebor and the Iron Hills. For this reason, we will only publish one new faction in Patch 4.1 and depending on the feedback we'll decide how to proceed from there. We're considering whether to release the remaining factions in bundles of two or just one at a time.
To give a proper welcome to the dwarves we present our rework of Dain Ironfoot, who receives a new design and new skills. So the Lord of the Iron Hills now has the possibility to mount his boar to plunge agilely into fights. Dain Ironfoot is therefore the only dwarf hero within the modification who has a mount.
The represented Erebor-King Dain is also undergoing a design revision, but at this time it is not completed yet.

Awesome dain looks verry nice i really want to test dwarves its cool that they will be first released i enjoy the modd verry much. But i have to be honest am kind of disappointed that the goblins are not coming out with the new patch but hey you cant have everything at once. and i know you guys are buzy with your lifes so thank you for this awesome modd and the future content caint whait.
Awesome design of Iron Hills Dain! I love his hammer, much more than his red axe :)
I have a question though: is King Dain for the Erebor faction going to have his hammer, too? And also, any chance he might get this appearance: Atolkienistperspective.files.wordpress.com

Erebor Dain would probably have the axe, and a different design.
Well, even if he has the axe, why not give him the Raven Crown of the King of Erebor at least?
I too think that he has to wear the Royal Armor of the King Under the Mountain along with the Crown and Shield!!:-)

I was disappointed with a few small things in fashion:
1) subfractions (Minas Morgul, Dol Guldur, Cirith Ungol) should be done not only make, but also the whole city in its own style. Let the difference is only visual, can later be modified.
2) The balance of the riders / spearmen / swordsmen in my opinion, too, is suffering. Too low damage from spearmen against cavalry. Riders, breaking through the enemy ranks, causing the low damage. It would be necessary to rebalance.
After the expulsion of Théoden one of the units, I went to monitor the distortion arising from the characters and banners out of the barracks. Maybe just a coincidence.

1.Dwarven faction should at least have Arken stone related factors that can turn the game sometimes. Not just as a minor power to be used frequently.
2.I would very much like Aragorn to have a power in evenstar artifact when he leaves the life of strider.
3.Rohan army should consist of those older pikemen, axemen and swordmen from version 3.8.1 as well. At least the veteran peasants should get the option to be upgraded to sword and axemen ranks, when veteran farmhands get the option to become upgraded to those pikemen rank.
4.Isengard power of "Industry" should work permanently as the description says but it doesn't. Rectify the description not the power.
5.Mordor nazgul hero battalion should be replaced and named accordingly and individually by 5 nazgul heroes.
Name them as follows:
1.Úlairë Nelya
2.Úlairë Cantëa
3.Úlairë Lemenya
4.Úlairë Enquëa
5.Úlairë Otsëa
6.Úlairë Toldëa
7.Úlairë Nertëa
8.Khamul
9.Witch King.
Indicating 3rd to 9th nazguls, WK as 1st & Khamul as 2nd nazgul. 'Úlairë' is the singular of 'Nazgul' word according to Tolkien's invented language 'Quenya.'
6.All the nazguls should be able to ride fell beasts afterwards as shown in the movie.
We won't add the names of the nazgul, because they are all fanmade and don't fit.
We've said multiple times that we don't like it and think that it fits much better with no names.
Additionally things like "I want something changed" is always a bit tricky, because we can't just add tons of things (for example not more spellbook powers).
So what exactly do you want? How do you think that such a thing as the arkenstone can be integrated in a better way?
Arkenston can be used to gnomes as improving the castle, after the capture of the ring. Provides additional resources, it lowers the cost of troops or okryvat new troops.
And why should the arkenstone do this? And why only after the ring?
Additionally we probably won't integrate it only to a ring hero - not everyone plays witht he ring and the arkenstone is something we want to have even in a normal game.^^
u guys ever going to add Rhun and Harad as separate factions? i don't think anyone would object to that since both of those peoples are awsome!
We won't talk about not integrated factions. We will integrate the 9 factions of 3.81 and afterwards we still have room for 2 more factions (we can't add more without huge bugs).
We have already decided which factions will be integrated.
You just have to wait and hope that men of the east will be one of this 2 factions^^

Arken stone can be integrated as a castle improvement as the dwarves borrow tunnels beneath their 1st stronghold only.
1.Enormously increases resource income as the king becomes obsessed with gold
2.Has various consequences like random dragon attack, the king becoming weaker and reinforcement from others than dwarves (if any) through power menu are disabled.

Maybe the Nazgul stuff would make Mordor an OP faction, ah? By the way, where did you found their names? Nelya, Cantea etc. I don't remenber in wich book they are named
Those names are created by games workshop.
Why can't the rangers switch weapons? Please make them able to switch to long swords in melee like grey company and like the movie.
They can, it's a power you have to select when creating them.

The team never announces a release date. 4.1 will be released soon, but we do not know anything beyond that

lol different Dwarfs dude. the ones in Dragon age mine Lyrium..and like LotR Dwarfs there dying out...what is with dwarfs in fantasy. in Elder Scrolls they disappeared,in LotR there dying out same as in Dragon Age
