For this years MOTY, I wanted to move away from purely promotional content and just focus on gameplay. After all, that's the only thing that matters come release day.
For the past month now, we've been hosting weekly play tests to verify stability, gameplay balance, and receive feedback. Here is a video of one such session. Please keep in mind this is all a work in progress and does not represent the final MOD. Though with that being said, I believe this is a massive improvement over our 2009 Alpha Gameplay video. The moddb player really sucks.
Kinda agree, I wish sites allowed to embedd them, that'd be epic.
this is our marketters video player, we have our own really cool media player which is used on IndieDB and Desura.
We would use it on ModDB but we need to figure out how to afford the bandwidth as ModDB does tons of video plays daily.
I think that's a good kind of problem, in a way.
Just watched part 1, and I'm noticing a disturbing thing; the "melee hit" animation is very slow compared to the damage. There's almost a half second delay from the impact to when the animation makes it look like it impacted.

Yeah the human melee attacks still need a lot of work.
SHEESH just one hit and run attack managed to take you down from 80 health to 20.

Goddamn sexy. Loving that atmosphere. :) Also the reload animations seem fast enough without being too fast, and the walking-while-aiming speed is good too. I'd say spot on, as far as I can see.

OMG looks Fantastic, this game will make me crap my pants. Only thing I can pick out that is kinda off is the amount of echo after firing seems off. When I go up to our canyon to fire our gun (and it's a puny .22 mind you) we can hear it for a few seconds before it fades, I would think and abandoned city would echo more but I could be wrong. But all in all I am SO looking forward to this game.
Well worth that period of radio silence, this looks brilliant, very much shaping up to have the sort of atmosphere I was hoping it would. Kudos to you guys for staying true to the concept. Can't wait for this to go public!

Reminds me of I am Legend, which is awesome, like how the animations switch between when your safe and in combat ( reloads much faster ), the melee could look better, if its possible, weapon specific. voting now :D

That's the geiger counter picking up the monsters (they are radioactive).
OH! Ok. Erm, constructive criticism, is that it should be more of a clicking sound? For me it would add more immersion. But, I can always change the sound myself, so that's just my two cents.
That looks REALLY epic, congratulations, the sounds are perfect, the music totally fits the game, and wow, those running guys are really creepy!
