Hello All!
It has been a long time. You thought this MOD was dead right? Well, more like, it was put to sleep for a few years.
I considered it finished in 2012, then waited patiently for the graffiti, to be able to quickly smack those onto some walls left blank, then release it. Unfortunately in the meantime the Source engine/SDK/etc. has changed so much that the same exact levels can't be compiled anymore. It would require tens of hours of work to remake intricate brushwork and convert big parts of the levels PROPERLY into meshes to be able to compile them again. Unfortunately I don't have time for that now or in the foreseeable future so please take a look at the attached graffiti and tags and imagine them onto those empty walls where I intended them to be. :-)
I takes about 45 minutes to play through it. A bit more if you check out everything. I hope you'll find something interesting in there if you decide to download and take a look.
Please comment what you liked or would change. Have fun!
Thanks to all the awesome people who helped in creating this MOD!

Also thanks to several people from hlcoders levlist for trying to help in getting it working/compiling again in the new environment.
Last but certainly not least, thanks to You! : watchers of the MOD and kind commenters who pushed me through the creation of it. It was a lot of work.
Thanks,
Peter
Some freshly taken spoilers:
This mapping looks really good, you work in the game industry?
Oh stop it, you! You'll make me blush. :-)
You would start teasing if you knew what I'm working on.
Anyway, there is very little original content in there. I just combined all the great stuff we got from Valve in a bit different way.
Holy hell, I was thinking this would never see the light of day!
Thanks for releasing this! It looks awesome!
I reckon this having an inventory system scripted within Hammer, am I mistaken?
- Downloading this!
Yep, but it's just a simple automatic inventory. You can pick stuff up (tools, food, coin) then those are automatically or in case of coins voluntarily used where they make sense.
Hello
thanks for the MOD, just a question where I neeed to go withe the raft ? I go until the village in the border but nothing happened
thanks
Okay it missed juste a little to continue. thanks
Yes, you have to "park" it precisely.
You are almost done escorting her. Have fun with the Antlions!
The way water looks so real in games these days never ceases to amaze me simply because for years eithen though the graphics in games were getting better and better they were never quite able to get water quite right especially vast expansives of it, but in recent years they have absolutely nailed it, & it's looking amazing.
The same goes for mirrored reflections, as in MaxPayne 1, any wall mirrors you came accross where smashed as it was just too hard to get a relistic reflective image without taking up too much of the cpu's processing power to try & do so, but then along came MaxPayne 2 with it's fully reflective wall mirrors that blew my mind at the time, & still does because how can it even be done as at the end of the day any computer character or object isn't really there to cast a reflection as they are just programming lol.
Yes games are now going into the region of movie quality these days, i.e one could be forgiven for thinking they were watching a movie extract when it comes to some games these days, rather then footage from a game.
Great work by the way ;)
Dude I am a Max Payne 2 modder and I understand u 100%.
Yes i'm also a Max Payne 1 & 2 Modder ;)
Looks really awesome! Just uninstalled hl2 after playing it for 6 years, but i might install it again just for this mod! :)
Overall not bad. Huge bummer though is the last map which is broken. Elevator is supposed to come down once you are finished with the mission part but the door stays down and the intended trigger does not fire. Something is not working there as it should.
As the elevator comes down it gets stuck. NPCs tell you to shoot the barrels next to it, as that might help to get it unstuck.
As you might guess something more spectacular will happen. :-)
Why cannot I enter the elevator with the miners? Just like an invisible door blocks my way even if they stand back.
Hmmm, maybe I left some route unblocked so you were able to go there without dying? Or you used cheats, god mode?
Well anyway, you are not even supposed to be there, just try going there along the catwalk, which will break in front of you, then Antlions start coming from the firs tunnel and the NPC guys leave with the elevator. After that they'll give you the objectives from above. Hint: use the turrets to protect yourself. Move turrets around as the gameplay moves from one area of the catwalk to the other.
I've sent you a PM on this question)
Great work ;)
