Welcome to this months update of the extraordinary Crysis Modification Petrograd; in today's update you will get a glimpse into the development of the project, featuring new character assets, weapons, vehicles, city buildings, and new environments.

Welcome to this months update of the extraordinary Crysis Modification Petrograd, developed by the Space Cowboys Team under the guidance of Game Director Roy Shapira, there are many new assets created on daily basis, in today's update you will get a glimpse into the development of the project, featuring new character assets, weapons, vehicles, city buildings, and new environments.
Petrograd will include many Non-Player Characters, each with their own personality and skills giving an immersive narrative experience, today the team showcases some of the new characters.
Final First Person Legs Asset
In the previous update the Space Cowboys showed the First person Arms, today they present the First person legs, featuring interactive equipment patches, and sidearm holster, that will animate at any time the player will perform the actions and look down. The Legs where created (modeled and textured) by talented team member Anton Kozlov, and are now being animated by team member Chris Lau.
WIP Female Model
No Story is complete without some female characters, her specific role will be kept as a surprise. shown below are the WIP female model created by new team member Sean Kelly, who is now finishing the model and will be texturing it shortly.
Petrograd has a large variety of weapons for all the different purposes, from long range sniper rifles to close quarters auto shotguns, today the team features one of the deadliest weapons - the Browning M2 0.50 caliber machine guns.
WIP Browning M2 0.50 Cal Heavy Machine Gun Model
The Browning M2 is a massive beast of a weapon, usually mounted on vehicles or stationary gunner posts, it has powerful 0.50 caliber slugs that can penetrate a tank's hall up to 3km away!. It is belt fed and has a slow rate of fire. the model has been created by team member Addison Gallagher, and will be textured shortly.
Petrograd will have many different vehicles, some will even be drivable. today the team showcase one of these drivable Russian Jeeps.
WIP Russian Jeep Model
Petrograd City is located in the great Russian area, and thus will require some Russian made transportation, new team member Sean Kelly has created the model and started texturing it, he is now optimizing and perfecting the textures to look just like the real thing, so expect to drive that Russian jeep in-game.
The Space Cowboys Team is hard at work to create all the different architectures to make the Petrograd city as immersive and realistic as possible, there are many new assets created daily, and today they showcase some of them.
WIP Hotel Model
Petrograd City will include many beautiful and historic buildings the Grand Plaza Hotel is no exception, team member Ben Wright has created the wonderfully detailed model, and is now optimizing and texturing it.
WIP Central Bus-Station Model
The now inactive Central Bus-Station was a humming comers hub in Petrograd city, fairing hundreds of people daily. Team member Ben Wright has created the model, and is now working hard to texture it.
WIP Residential Building Model
Petrograd city has many types of buildings both historical and modern, many of them will be complete from outside and within, so the player can explore the different apartments and even scope the area from the roof-top, one such residential building is shown below, team member Chris Schweiger has created the model and is now texturing it.
The Space Cowboys Team is hard at work to create the most wonderful and detailed levels, to help immerse the player into the thrilling story and gameplay. Today the team features some of their new environments for your viewing pleasures.
WIP Rural Environment
The Rural Environment at the outskirts of the city will bring interesting gameplay opportunities, team member Benjamin Thatcher has created and enhanced some of them, today the team showcases some of the new rural environments below.
WIP City Environment
New team member Hendrik Lenz has joined as a Level Designer, and immediately started creating great City environments, today the team features some of his work.
Benjamin Thatcher, the lead level designer on Petrograd, is considering working on another tutorial regarding level design and working with the CryEngine Sandbox Editor. If there are any topics in particular that you'd like to know more about, be sure to mention them in the comments below!
