Post news Report RSS Level Demonstration - Part 2

A look at the other two levels from GhostWriter at their current state.

Posted by on

The two levels shown in this video are the Mansion Entrance and the Muffin Mans Kitchen. The quality in some parts is not the best so please ignore that!

During the Mansion Entrance level, there will be a voice over briefly explaining the story. That's why the level is in slow motion (so more of the story can be explained).

The Kitchen level is obviously not complete either. The idea is that you have to collect the jumping muffins and stuff them into one of the Muffin Mans machines. He gets distracted by this which means you can go and damage his other stuff. The player has to swing the hanging knives up into the Muffin Mans area which will eventually collapse towards the end of the level. In the final version, you would be throwing machine debris at the hanging knives to make them swing (not firing a sniper bullet from your chest :P).

Enjoy!

Holy heart failure batman, thats good work. Video quality could be better though, especially if your demonstrating what people will see at what the game they are going to want to play is. Marketing is important. ;)

I also have a beef with his running animation, even though I know thats just the art style and how its supposed to be.

A few people have some problems with the running animation. I did that myself, but I'm not an animator :P It'll be changed eventually :) Just didn't wnat the character running around with a rocket launcher!

That was incredibly freaky and I loved it! Other than that, I think the running animation is alright except that his chest and head don't move up and down, they sorta float stationary while the rest of his body moves. Sorry if this is obvious but a reference like Idleworm.com might improve the animation greatly
Nice work!

I almost stopped the video due to how bad the quality of it was.

Otherwise, I most certainly appreciate the work that has been put into this total conversion.

Well done, it's unique, and I like it.
There are some other niggles such as animation, music and depth of gameplay but otherwise it's a fairly good basis.

Thanks, and yeah, sorry about the video quality :P.

Hopefully everything will be perfected before release.
