After an extensive team conference we have decided to switch to Forces of Corruption! In our oppionion it's the best way to enhance the mod and it simply gives us more possibilities to improve the "This is Stargate" feeling.
What does that mean for you now?
Well, there will be only one more patch for the Final 1.0, which contains the complete english text file, one GC map without any event, some more heroes and a very cool supergate system for the skirmish mode!
But switching to FoC does not mean that it will take more than a year again to release a finished mod, cause a lot of things are already finished like maps, sounds, effects and models.
Furthermore our production pipeline is improved, so we will accomplish better results in less time! Consequently you will get more information, screenshots and videos than before.
We won't neither reveal the third playable race yet(of course not!^^), nor the changes we have decided already, but we will periodically have updates for you!
As a matter of course you can already speculate about the new race and the changes^^.
So much about that!
The team has learned a lot during the last weeks and months and this knowledge will help us to develop a mod, that puts the old versions in the shade!!

This is amazing coz my disc ain't scratched and I think I know what the third race will be but I think this has got to be the best mod out there. How does this make you feel modding team LOL can't wait any idea on the first media na only joking but this has finaly put me in a good mood

But FoC was just... bad. I mean, sure, you've got a third playable race and some more options for things, but otherwise it didn't really work. However... a really really good mod might just change all that around... Good luck!
Really Really good call, certain gameplay mechanics are way better, for all those who don't have forces of corruption, save up a tiny amount a week and but it when the mod is ready, it doesnt cost that much anymore

Like I'm going to blow 20 bucks on a piece of crap expansion just to play a mod, especially in today's economy. I haven't been able to enjoy a new game for almost a year now.

Im happy to see the change to FoC, fokes this means real cloaking of ships if they wish for it. Oddessy can cloak/puddle jumpers etc. Its a big step up. It also means that some of the new features in Foc like the curruption system could be used to enhance the SG feel.
I think its great, i just hope the change isnt to much of a burden on you guys cause i know its a pretty big one.
We always thought it would be really hard to switch to FoC, but actually it's quite simple. The biggest challenge will be to implement the new features and improve the old stuff.

I've found FoC on Amazon for quite cheep, I might even be able to buy it and two other games for less that what the game cost originaly.

cant wait, hope that the new race is the reps (priates) there the best and the strongest plus they got the ships and different ground units u just have to make buildings tho. thank god your doing it for foc eaw is so boring compared to foc.

Well I'm excited. Personally I think it would be cool if they did an extensive alliance of most of the evil races Asurans, Replicators, Ori etc, using a similar system to the new EaW patch's supergate system.
Awh i dont have FoC. I want to have it so much but they dont sell it anymore in the Netherlands :( well ill stay using the eaw mod than^^
