In this case AASC has to do something extraordinary to recommend itself.

I mean, we need a very big audience... Like Black Mesa mod has. Let's not idealize J.J. Abrams and Gabe Newell - thier collaboration also has commercial reasons as their work is much in demand. Therefore, they'll cooperate with the projects that are in great demand and have large audience.

I'm afraid these are the things we can't boast of.

Well that made MY day, anyway.

Something was lost in the english translation, I think. Am I right in summarizing the article as follows?

Right now you're reworking the script of Other Life: Hatch 18. OL:H18 is becoming longer. There are now 4 chapters and the first chapter now has 4 maps. You are also planning to rework and add content to CUBE, and release CUBE V3. You think you can release OL:H18 and CUBE V3 by the end of 2013. A 2013 release of OL:H18 is your priority. You are migrating both mods to the Alien Swarm verson of the Source engine. Both mods will share content. You are reducing or removing Fringe/LOST inpired content. Once both mods are released, you will ask the public what to work on next.

Why are you removing content inspired by LOST and Fringe?

Absolutely no reason to change course due to J.J. Abrams and Gabe Newell's meeting. Individuals who actually take time to research the mod will know that your projects began development years before their meeting, and those are the people who matter. Your work has always been immensly unique and deserving of great praise, and whether this meeting took place or not, it remains to be so. After the time you've spent on these projects so far, and the community you've built up, it would be a terrible shame to stop now. Keep calm and carry on!
