Also, Rest in Peace Lucasarts. For those of you who don't know Lucasarts was shut down by Disney
You can read more about that here: Kotaku.com
Edit: Source Code has been pulled down for legal reasons, we don't know what this means for modders, alternate download links are, however, available around the Internet.
RIP LucasArts. You will live on in our hearts.

how do u play it help
Source code. Not the game.
Ho-lee crap. This is unexpected.
At least something good came from LucasArts' demise.
RIP old friend. You're gone, but never forgotten.
Can't wait to see all the awesome mods and stuff that will come from this. Thank you Raven.
I can't wait 'til someone makes a graphics mod for either game.
Wow wonder what this will allow for JA. Can't wait to see!
Everything.

ive downloaded the file. and also bought the jedi outcast game on steam, do i replace files with the downlaod ed file of this source code into the jedi outcast file?
Man, it's the source code, not the game. You have to compile it.
I wonder if we'll see the release of the source codes of other LA games, like the X-Wing, KotOR and the Battlefront games, as well. (and Empire at War)
You know what this means? NORMALMAPS IN JKA!!!
This: Moddb.com
will get even better if someone manages to get them working in the engine, I will then update every texture of my mod with a normalmap ;)
Hey guys, apparently they pulled the code back down because of possibly some legal issues, however I managed to find alternate links to the downloads.
Outcast: www.shacknews.com/files/get/34856
Academy: Gamefront.com
Thank you so much!
Your link for academy seems to be down. Try here:

I'm sincerely hoping that this includes the Singleplayer source code.
Pfft... I like how when the source code was released and everyone was excited going "wow, imagine all the possibilities!! we can do ANYTHING, omg!!!!!1....... okay im gonna go watch tv instead."
Today, I still see no new mods. What a damn waste...
