We are, moving away from source for Price of Victory.

Posted by on

We have decided to pocket Price Of Victory. By pocket I mean put away for a later date and instead work on a few smaller mods just to build up our company resume. PoV will see a commercial release instead. We chose this because it would most likely take a full two to three years to make the game if we were making it commercial.

But the bills still need to be paid and the amount of work and quality of it would fit better seen as commercial. Plus we’d release it finished, not chock full of bugs and errors like most commercial games today nor have some shoddy anti piracy system like Assassin’s Creed 2.

For everyone who was interested in PoV I recommend that you just watch the Treadsoft company and in time you'll be able to play PoV and other quality games. We plan to release a few multiplayer mods instead on source while we transition the team to the Unreal 3 engine so we can make commercial games there. Source is a good engine, but for our intents and purposes we fancy the UDK more.

We intend to produce our first Unreal game with in 6 months. We

If you are or know of anyone who can work with the UDK please let us know by messaging volcol or Klazenkith directly, please provide examples of your work.

In regards to our commerical works, assuming all goes well, there will be paid work and a position when we form the company. The UDK mods will be free, but the commercial games will be... commercial.

We scan for both skill and personality and enforce the policy strictly. By strict I mean we tolerate no bullying at all of any team member by another. However if you have a relationship with another team member that is play fighting or mock anger and the like, that is fine. Treadsoft is a safe and nurturing environment for all types of UDK modders, from the very skilled to those who are on their way to become the very skilled.

We aim to exploit certain niches in the market, old games for old school gamers. Making use of the Unreal 3 engine to bring the past into the present

Thanks to all of you for your interest and participation in PoV. Keep an eye on Treadsoft, you're interest will be rewarded in time.

The Treadsoft Team
