This is a set of four screenshots taken of the latest map I am still currently working on. Again it's set in the CIA Prison complex that the player is in.
It's quite a large map and hence has taken some time but once again Source has really shown she has still what it takes when it comes to lighting.
Also added to the problems was the thought that a huge fire fight occurs in this large prison block so' r speeds' were always on mind while mapping.
Anyways hope you enjoy the screenshots..

Impressively strong and steady progress ! I'm also really pleased to read that you are taking the impact of heavy particle work and performance for the players into consideration. You may be one of the wiser groups who won't see the need to release a "lite " version later on from all the complaints of FR loss. Lauds !

yes well to be honest my computer isn't the best.. so I'm forced to map with R speeds in consideration as my computer & graphics card simply wouldn't handle a badly mapped map or a map or scene with over the top effects..
until i get a new computer anyways which wont be anytime in the near future...
So you guys with underpowered computers or old computers we are in the same boat guys :)

well, it's always said to not have a high-end computer, but when you map it has it'plus sides because now you will not make maps that only can be played on powerful pc's. so you will have more players.
a great example of this we did see last week or the week before. have forgotten that one Hl2 ep2 sp-map that was released as a mod here on Moddb. it looked great, the mapper did focus special on eye candy mapping. but ones it was released no one could play it. even people will powerful pc's had fps of 5 and lower!
