Zombie SlayerDoom III mod | Released Apr 25, 2009Zombie Slayer is a Doom 3 mod that incorporates gameplay from games like Dragon's Lair and Shenmue, but with a twist -- you have three chances to successful input the correct key. Fail three times, and you are dead. The story: You are John McAllen, a mercenary hired for a research outpost on Mars. An alarm wakes you up one day. After you scramble for your gun and armor from your locker and leave your room, you find zombies everywhere like in those old horror movies...and like in your nightmares. You book it to the security center hoping that some people are still alive. Maybe then you can find out what these scientists on this research center are doing with all these damned zombies. You also want to find a way out of this forsaken place. Prepare for the fight for your life. The mod is split up into four chapters. Each chapter has a gameplay segment and a storyline segment. The half chapter demo is available now.

How?
i have steam version of doom 3 and it doesnt work.when i start the mod it goes to a grey screen then the normal doom 3 menu
I just did a full runthrough with the Steam version of Doom 3. Make sure that you have Zombie Slayer installed under a subdirectory of Doom 3, and make sure you have no other mods installed under the base directory. If all else fails, delete all your local content, reinstall Doom 3, and reinstall the mod.
It should work. Let me test it out real quick.
Just got doom 3 and this mod, when I start to load any chapter it goes back to main menu. I have patch 1.3.1.
Do you have any other mods installed? Is this a fresh install of Doom 3? Is the base directory clear of any other mods? Is this installed under the slayer directory under the Doom 3 folder?

Hmm, does vanilla Doom 3 work?
Probably not, delete the custom .pk4 file for Vanilla Doom 3, and it *should* work. If not, it might be something to do with your GFX
