This mod aims to bring the extra-galactic race of Yuuzhan Vong into SW: FoC as a playable 4th faction. Original factions will receive new units to fight these invaders.
Starbase 4
The next level of Vong station has a few nice new features compared to the third level ( Moddb.com ).
First, the rocky armor now covers the entire building, giving it some extra sturdiness. The asteroid used for developing these rocks is now attached via a solid bridge improving station´s toughness even more.
If you read the description of the last level, it mentioned a few Dovin Basals which should have served a special weapon (in the way Zann´s station gets it on level 3). It didn´t really work out as a special ability (was replaced by the spawning of asteroid swarm from hyperspace; see video Moddb.com), but it will stay as a long range weapon hurling asteroids available on level 4 and beyond.
Lastly, one of the larger orbiting asteroids was attached to the main hull and expands station´s manufacturing capabilities and also serves as platform for a few new weapons.
The next station is ready for showcase, just wait till tomorrow!
Feel free to comment and share ideas (and praise Enpremi for his yet another fantastic work! ;)
Consider Enpremi praised for his yet another fantastic work.
Consider Seregruth praised for his yet another fantastic work.
Now, on to the spicy stuff: What about having these random floaty things as targetable hardpoints, if you rotate the attachment bone in an animation the attached object will slowly rotate as well, giving the impression of floating asteroids. When destroyed, the asteroid would despawn. Could even give it a dust-cloud death particle.
Welp, awaiting tomorrow for the next level!
X-Wing pilot 1: "That looks like a (literally) bloody potato someone left lying in the sun for a couple of years."
-upon getting closer-
X-Wing pilot 2: "That´s no potato..."
IT'S A MASHED POTATO!
Wicked child!!!
Mashing is also the work of Beelzebub -- for Satan saw God's blessed potato (turnip), and he envied it and mashed it to spoil its sacred shape.
