This mod aims to bring the extra-galactic race of Yuuzhan Vong into SW: FoC as a playable 4th faction. Original factions will receive new units to fight these invaders.
Just a work in progress picture of upcoming vong warriors and potential heroes. So far their only purpose is to be a subject to render used as a hero icon, but once we get to land models you will see these killing machines in 3D!

Yep, I'm aware of that. It's still only a sculpture, so it lacks any kind of detail texture. Plus the large eyes/pupils are not realistic as well.

The quality of everything in this mod is so high, that I'm half expecting you guys to announce a stand alone game, or at the very least that you changed the base game/engine. It's miles and bounds ahead of anything I thought this game could produce.
These are great. I'm wondering how you guys are gonna get around the 4gb memory limit though, seems like all these great models and textures will go well beyond it.
Don't worry about performance. Even though the textures we use are usually 2k, the models are quite lowpoly and the amount of particles is reasonable so the game runs smoothly.
trust me, I used to have a super crappy PC in those times I started modding, so all these models are created as low poly as possible. really. cause I mean...why would I create a mod I can´t even run smoothly afterwards :D

Back to real talk, even though yes it is a nice sculpture for sure (z brush?) this might be slightly high poly for eaw no? All the ships so far are completely within limits but as soon as basic infantry gets equiped with high poly heads like these, things might get ugly. And not the good kind of ugly, like this head. As always though, keep it up!

Yeah, it's only a zbrush sculpt which in this case means high poly. As I mentioned I'll use it to render hero icons and then later for the infantry models. I'll of course retopologise the mesh so that it's within in a reasonable polygon budget.
