Is it possible for the player the get one a Ushabti?
Yes, if you are lucky you can find them in a tavern or rescue or recruit from prisoner pool :) same goes for all the big guys
Or if you manage to become a lord for the Tomb Kings you can train them in the cities you own/conquer at the apposite building...but first you have to own a city so better look around for them ;)

Ehehe much easier to say than to be done in my opinion, especially knowing that you'll be fighting against a good number of them in the siege and that building the structure and training them is quite expensive...all up the fact that you have to be a Tomb King character if you wanto to obtain them :))
Know what you meen :/ havent become powerfull enough on this mod to make a siege to just a castle, really really hard. Think my best change would be to gather many tough dwarwen infantry plus/or high elven archers or units with guns to take the defenders out from distance before the charge.. I like the tomb kings, but feels like winning a siege with them would be a little hard since they avarge archers and not the toughest of the toughest infantry. And as you say, hireing is expensive, especially the big bad boys like ogres and Ushabti :o man this need planning.. I want my own tomb king city and I will have it some day xD
Good luck then...I'm trying to build a good Ork Warboss-like char but even if I'm playing as a soldier in Warboss Ironfist's army is getting really tough even to win a battle when we outnumber the enemies, be them dwarves or imperials, it's really hard to stay alive for long times in medium/high crowded battles
