We have considered it and haven't wrote it off completely, but with no native support for water pathing/mechanics in Starcraft II, it's a big undertaking - that may or may not be included down the line.
In a nutshell: No, we don't currently intend to release it with naval units - but may very well come back and add it later.
awh, I understand, but I think navel ships is one of the things that really made Warcraft stand out and made it much more fun

The graphics is perfect for this game, i would love to see this finished and have a real modern warcraft game to play, been looking for something like this for years!
