Voyager: Insurrection is divided into three distinct "episodes". The first of these is entitled "Insurrection Alpha". It follows and expands upon events depicted in the Voyager episode "Worst Case Scenario". In this variation of that story, the Doctor finds himself in the role of a young ensign faced with a fictional Maquis mutiny on the holodeck. As he progresses through the levels, he must earn the trust of the Maquis, all the while seeking ways to defeat the mutiny and secure the return of Capt. Janeway to Voyager. Unbeknownst to the Doctor, however, more than just a holographic game is at stake. The outcome of his actions will determine not only the fate of his matrix, but the fate of the entire galaxy as well.
