I'm enjoying this kick arse mod but have to leave it due to the low amount of weapon damage. The increase weapon damage mod seems to crash Elite which is a shame. I guess I've been spoilt by OGSE 0692.

The "low damage" is just an opinion. You have to know that elite NPCs also are more hard. And if you rise the damage, the whole mod 'll be unbalanced... by money too. Fight better and/or read tips in Manual. And I dont understand what you mean.. about crash of the mod if you change the damage.
It is not true. Surely you wrong in some change about. And anyway we recommend.. dont change anything.
To finish, you need play many times ELITE to know it, because it is hard (mainly for the new players) and also and maybe.. changing your usual fighting strategy. And ye... forget any other mod. Elite is Elite. And not just (or only?) a weapons shop, with some "hero" around.
Try (to start) with Novice. I think all 'll be better for you.

I'm a Stalker veteran of ten years and love the fact that in Elite the enemy moves quickly and provides an enormous challenge to me as a player. But shooting a leather jacket clad bandit multiple times with a AK74 at close range without getting a kill is a put off for me.

Not an unusual thing in vanilla stalker, aiming for the head is the best bet of killing the bullet sponge and playing on veteran. But if this mod would remove the "bullet sponge" effect then it would loose its original aim of being "Vanilla 2.0".

To GUEST: Well..my previous comment and Elite manual always explained lot of things about and more.
To CHEEKI: agree with you. Anyway for low/medium enemies the headshots are just an option, if you move fast and good anyway.
Main problem is: most of players are (bad) accustomed (and from too much years, I guess) by Vanilla or by most of other mods, so they meet difficulties in ELITE.
For me (and lot of players, I am sure) ELITE is not so difficult, if strategy is not just shot around, killing soon all. To finish, many stalker players speak about "realism" and blablabla... Well, how much is realistic for only one man kill (easily or almost) 10, 100, 1000 enemies without die? Dont need add anything anymore.

Got a question, will the 9.3 update feature more than just the 3 new weapons that were showed in previous deleted screenshot? Or is it just all usual balance fixes?

Very probably they 'll be more than 4 as announced in a momentary preview (...could be 6 about...). Obviously more they 'll be, more tests 'll need. Because they 'll be fully integrated into ELITE and perfectly balanced, basing values (plus or minus) on current used weapons and your position in game progress. In few words they 'll be not "random".
Plus... files 'll be also cleaned and fixed (just some error) and some weapon texture 'll be improved too. So the next version 'll be really great and always fast and detailed as its style.

man this is misery for soc minus the crape of course .pretty stable too.could use better weapon models but not not really nesessary.All in all good minimalist mod .

Effectively there is nothing in common with misery (or other mod).. no scripts, events, values, UI, AI, spawn, unique features and the rest... etc etc. Maybe difficulty... as some player have referred, but I am almost sure BE is more hard and also with less money, though that is not so significant by itself.
I know default weapons models can be, optionally, better (ogf) but I am not so able. And many redesigned weapons mods have little/bad glitches in those "new" models, causing also further (minor, strange) glitches in game.
True... minimalist (and complex) mod.
ps_1: dont stay as guest. Ty.
ps_2 (added): forgot the most important thing. It's pratically impossible for me translate, eventually, in all languages... the infos about the new weapons, being ELITE a multilingual mod. On the contrary, with one only language (usually Eng.) it's very easy.

What can i say? This mod has me covered on all fronts. Featherlight, no performance hit, no loading times, no unnecessary bloat. It's vanilla with improvements. The dynamic weather system is impressive and it builds an atmosphere like no other, the skyline during twilight hours is gorgeous. Icons are bright and crisp, as is everything else in general. The centerpiece of the mod seems to be the actor's height being scaled down for balance purposes, i always wanted to roleplay as the bastard child…
