"Breathes new life into one of TW's tightest and most atmospheric iterations with simplicity, balance and superb quality." - Antagonist, TW historian. Viking invasion II aims to recreate the campaign of the cult-status MTW: Viking Invasion on the Rome BI engine. It sticks closely to the original campaign, only making changes to correct large inaccuracies, to improve gameplay and comply with the new engine. It is also set a little later than the original campaign at AD 851 - two years after the birth of King Alfred the Great of Wessex. The map covers Ireland, England, Alba (Scotland), Jutland, Wales, and the isles and westernmost provinces of the Norwegians. There are 50 provinces and many new strategy-map trade resources and other models, as well as new map textures for both summer and winter. Eight factions are included which cover the Viking, Saxon and Celtic cultures. See link for more details.

Description

I've ported the Viking music of WotN to VI2:DoB, this i did back in may 2016, but now i've also updated the music submod to include my Anglo-Saxon and Celtic music in use by the Saxons and the Kingdom of Gwynedd in The Last Kingdom:Wrath of the Norsemen!

I've updated my ported Wrath of the Norsemen VIKINGS MUSIC SUBMOD to the music of The Last Kingdom: Wrath of the Norsemen - it has the same old Viking music but new music for the Saxons and the Celts.

I've added the Anglo-Saxon and Celtic music from TLK: WotN (Medieval 2 mod) to this mod.

- The Hun culture (Denmark/Norwegians) have the Denmark/Geatland/Norse & Slavs/Rus music.

- The Barbarian culture (Mercia, East Angles, Northumbria & West Saxons) have the Anglo-Saxon music.

- The Nomad culture (Welsh, Ui Neil, Munster and Alba) have the Celtic music.

Install by placing descr_sounds_music in your VI2/DATA-folder and the sounds-folder in the same folder, replacing the old folder and file.

Songs are also cut in half if originating from a show.
