Viking Invasion 2 mod for Medieval II: Total War

This mod aims to replicate Viking Invasion, the expansion pack for MTW. It will be close to the original expansion with historical inaccuracies ironed out. It will include the original factions, The Saxons, the Mercians, The Welsh, The Scots, The Irish, The Picts, The Northumbrians and of course, The Vikings.

So far substantial work has been done on the map and it is pretty much complete. we are now working on the units ready for a little preview.

As mentioned earlier, historical inaccuracies will be ironed out, meaning no Mad axemen in horned helmets(sorry guys!), and no prehistoric Celts roaming the battlefield. Equally, knights in shining armour will be absent, so most bodyguard (except the Welsh) will be on foot, so no devastating charges led by your bloodthirsty general. Also, cavalry in general will be weaker as the horses available to Britain at the time were no more than ponies, so lines of shining stallions were a bit on the thin side. ;-)

The map will cover all of the British Isles, including Norway and later on, Normandy.
