Better network: VGO Hydra 1 ,and password: hydra (also be careful not to launch the game twice it can screw it over)
To expand on what C&C-Pickled said.
Be careful not to open the launcher twice (2 VGO launcher up & running at the same time), it will cause the launcher to show some error codes; however the launcher will still work in most cases & you would still be able to play the mod & regular ZH.
This issue will be looked into & hopefully a fix can be made, however until then avoid opening the launcher twice at one time (having 2 VGO launcher up at the same time).

Folks not sure why it happened but make sure after you delete the old files, check C:\Programs\VGO (win XP3) for any loitering leftovers and manually delete them.. I had to do a clean install of VGO Hydra, then it worked perfectly after i install Frameworks 4.0! What a mod!!! Bwa ha ha ha

after i install and run it, it says to run it in XP compatibility mode and stops working. but when i do that it does the same thing again

I downloaded this mod 2days ago. Im having problems with it tho. When in skirmish mode, I set up a 1v1. I play as America, and the enemy AI is North Vietnam. I set it to 2 sepreate teams, and colors. I pick I map and it loads. Once the game begins, approximately 8 seconds go by, then Im automatically victorious. Now, if I pick the opposing AI as America, with 2 different teams and colors etc. Loads, but the enemy AI is inactive. The AI will make a Barracks,sometimes a power generator, and 3 bulldozers...nothing more than this. Ive spent countless hours trying to fix. Ive reinstalled and repatched, but nothing. The original ZH was at version 1.4, but I just found the 1.8. yet again idk if this will help the game itself? But i would really love to play your Mod. thanks...
This is almost always a bad MultiplayerScripts.scb that became corrupted - we recommend downloading a replacement from Cnclabs.com

This issue appears to be a result of running the game via the mod launcher on certain setups - the exact cause is unknown, but it appears to be an anti-piracy measure for running from a proxy.
A solution is to run the mod launcher, but do not hit 'Play' - instead, run generals.exe while the mod launcher is open. Opening the mod launcher ensures all the VGO mod files are moved to their appropriate locations, and then running generals.exe directly prevents the anti-piracy fail from kicking in.
i getting the same error and i tried it (running the mod launcher and generals.exe) but it didnt work , what can i do ?

Yes there is, once you install, it will automatically update to the latest version.
