Via Dolorosa takes place in the not so distant future after the Third World War. With the population of Earth a shadow of its former count, the culmination of sins of man has caused the unleashing of hell upon all the remaining living. With all the nations armies demolished, man can do little against the wrath of hell. Factions quickly form, mostly being led by the few remaining soldiers from WWIII. Self proclaimed Freedom Fighters, these heroic men although riddled with sin provide iconic figures to idol in times of despair.
