V Corps was reactivated at Camp Beauregard, Louisiana, in October 1940, and took part in the famous Louisiana Maneuvers of 1941. The organization deployed to Ireland after Germany declared war on the United States, providing the first American soldiers and the first army headquarters deployed to the European theater in World War II.V Corps was one of the formations that took part in the D-Day landings, on June 6, 1944. It landed on Omaha Beach with the 1st Infantry Division (United States) and 29th Infantry Division (United States) , and many casualties were suffered there due to the strong German defenses. During the Battle of Normandy, and indeed for almost the whole campaign up to the surrender of Germany, V Corps was assigned to First United States Army. The only exceptions were a brief detachment to Seventh United States Army during the autumn of 1944 and being switched to Third United States Army during the very final days before the enemy surrender.

At this time we are looking for anyone who would like to help with this mod. Even if you are a beginner at modeling animating anything. Please email or pm me if you'd like to help.
In about 2-4 months I will be shipping off to boot camp for the USMC. I would either like to have people come on to help finish or hand this project over to someone who could complete it. At this point we are pretty much dead :( Without any mapper or animator we're pretty much SOL. I want to see this project through to the finish but we may have to delay it until im done with my basic training. I plan within a year to ahve this back up and working. We have also been playing with other ideas of possibly starting over and building on a much larger scale.
If anyone would like to help please pm or email me, any help will be accepted!
Thanks for all your support and critisizm. The moddb community is one of the best. We will ahve a final news posted once we have decided what to do with the mod.

A question: Is this mod aiming for realism(no HUD etc), or more of a Day of Defeat: Source style?
This mod will be completely different play the DOD:S. Its mainly realism but not to the point where its no fun to play.
There isn't One for this mod. This mod is not released. same with many others like my own. If you want to look at only released mods change your search options
