Well. What can I say about this? Maybe that this is a huge project and an amazing total conversion for HL2. I actually think this mod is as ambitious as the Black Mesa and G-String mods, because the team plans to develop 6 chapters in total, and this 1st chapter is just HUGE!!, actually is so huge, that I have some mod crashing issues at the last maps of this chapter 1 release, though they were no big problem and I completed the mod properly and I ended pretty entertained and satisfied.

To talk about Underhell as a mod, I'd say is like a great piece of art, the story plot is so immersive and the atmosphere and environment of the mod is always great and full of thrill, some have said this mod is similar to great old-school action games that industry just don't make no more, well, I guess that's right. Indeed I guess Underhell fits into the intrigue-suspense-action and also horror categories.

Actually, this is like 3 mods in one!! you know, because you have to play in the weird and hallucinating Jake's dreams; undercover the sinister, creepy and horrific secrets in Jake's house where you never be alone (the tunnels and well part in the house just were so full of psychological horror to me, that I just couldn't play that part with the lights off, that I thought even Cry of Fear can't offer a superior horror section in their mod and their add-ons!!!!); and finally, the great action-combat chapters.

Now, in what this new things chapter 1 have to offer, I can say it has it all, I mean great production, great visuals and tech aspect with great quality, also great combat, great voice acting, and I'd say "Valve quality" cutscenes that just as they're unveiling and developing the story just show this is a great mod with a Hollywood like suspense and mystery story to tell. And finally about the cons I can say this is a hard mod to play in normal skill, the gamer requires to adapt to the gameplay dynamic and the use of search things and press buttons stuff is way too much
