Ultimate Empire at War is a conversion of Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It aims to include four eras of Star Wars history: the Age of the Old Republic, the Clone Wars, the Galactic Civil War, and the Dawn of the New Republic in an re-created game that is more engaging on both the tactical and strategic level, enhancing gameplay and deepening it, as well as overhauling the graphics in the game. In short - EaW the way it was meant to be - spanning Star Wars history in a deeply strategic game with high quality graphics and challenging gameplay.

Whoa! Fantistic lighting on the sides! Just like in the movie! I'm also digging the darker version of the ship, as well as the highly detailed Hyena Droids ^_^

Darkness is done by the global lighting - if you were to view the converse side (which is facing the local star), it is of course brighter. This side really brings out the lighting on the sides and shows the shadow contours really well, so I got the shot from this side.

The droids in this shot are Vultures, methinks - though we do have Hyenas somewhere in here :P

Yea, that's my bad. That explains why, as I typed in Hyena, I wanted to add the word "bomber" to it. Now I think the lighting's even cooler. Was this conversion in the vanilla game?

There was the provision in vanilla, but:

A) The shadow meshes in vanilla were pretty poor
B) The lighting meshes in vanilla were also poor
C) The Petro mappers didn't put the lighting to good use; very little variation in angle and intensity across maps at all.

In UEaW:

A) The shadow meshes are very detailed
B) The lighting meshes are made much more definite and all our new ships have of course got meshes made by us
C) Our mappers are competent. So lighting will both be varied and matched to the location.

Those look like Vultures, alright. I think Hyenas have two "cockpit" things.

Pentium Core 2 Quad,
4gb dual piped RAM
512mb GeForce 9800GT

No lag whatsoever on this system. But players will be able to change graphics settings if they have lag, of course.

I like how the vultures look nice and smooth and how the providence looks just like it does in the movies
