Idk if i get bad karma but the old one fit more to Nod...was so cool and was so flexible when it was moving/shooting. :(

It also didn't serve it's role and couldn't hit a moving target to save it's life hence for the image change. This one fits it's role (anti-infantry) better and makes the unit a lot more useful in the long run whereas the old one (or now, Cobra Drone) could only be used as a scout unit effectively.

i have to admit the old one looked way better, but like Aro said, it really couldn't hit a moving target, they were the easiest things to kill

I really like the design, and IMO walkers will never fit Nod except maybe that one secret unit you guys have. ;o

Trust me, New one is much more fun to use. It's like old german flak 38 on wheels, shooting lasers :) !

When elite it's even cooler! (about 20% cooler)
Sound of it is just... mmmm

At least now there's something that can effectively accompany the Scorpion tanks as an Anti-Infantry unit.

I can see me using these with Scorpions as light raiding parties.

Looking good but the ground with the bushes over it should probably get another texture something more gras looking. Something to make it look nicer and more Eden like if it's some part of earth that hasn't been infested much with tiberium yet.

Description

With the DPV fast approaching a status of obsolete, The Inner Circle commissioned a project that would build an entirely robotic successor. After several designs were put forward and eventually rejected, two candidate were found: The first, the Cobra was a fully automated walker- initially rumoured to be the favoured design for its revolutionary locomotive design, was soon scrapped as it proved to be flawed. It’s movement was ungainly and the cost of manufacture too high for the benefits it would bring to The Brotherhood.

The Viper, however, soon showed itself to outshine all other competitors. Though it’s wheeled design was more in vein with the conventional quads, the design was sleek and easy to manufacture, making it a more superior unit. While it too had issues with its targeting software, the developers pulled together and showed everyone what it means to be in The Brotherhood. They pulled together, sacrificed their base AI and worked non-stop to perfect the design and software so that, upon its release, the Viper was the equal and more to its predecessors.

Cost: 400
Primary: Dual Lasers
Requires: War Factory
