This modification offers an alternative gameplay to Tiberian Wars involving many Tiberian Sun units which many CnC fans (like me) missing in vanilla CNC3 and add even new my made units which you can't find anywhere else. Story is quite the same like Tiberian Wars, but is all about what if GDI and Nod do not abandon technologies they have used in Tiberian Sun era and instead of that further developed them. But it's not only that, there are many visual, sound and balance changes which I want to see and hear in my mod, new sounds, new music, new effects (like blood and gore, new infantry deaths, new more realistic missile trails) and many more.
New model for our favored forgotten commando - Ghost Stalker. While railguns are unique to Gdi now, Ghost require new devastating weapon, maybe rapid fire plasmagun can do, or some sort of beam weapon? Im not decided yet but is will crystalize ("freeze") enemies that is for sure.
Plasma is already used by Banshee/Cyborg commando. A beam with "linear damage" would be a good alternative.
Tib crystallizer beam, yup.
There's actually a C&C novel that mentions a prototype tiberium laser weapon that tends to crystallize when overused. This sort of design flaw would be meaningless to the Forgotten, if not beneficial.
Go for crystallizer beam weaponry. The Forgotten are using Tib-based weaponry, but they should have their own unique spin on the tech.
Tiberium rapidly converts whatever it touches into more tiberium. Blue tiberium is even more rapid and unstable. Maybe just have it fire potent spikes of blue tiberium that rapidly crystallize things.
Nit: Slower and unstable.
I realise i'm kinda late for the Party, but this tech looks kinda cool. For once i find myself agreeing with FortressMaximus, Tib-Plasma is NOD Tech.
I'm guessing its some kind of heavily modded railgun or something - crystalising flesh seems like a cool idea, i'm assuming its firing super-cooled liquid tiberium or something; which rapidly crystalises on contact with the target, reacting to their body temp. (we know that tiberium growth is restricted in high and low temperature environment so even a small amount of heat could kick-start rapid crystalisation under these conditions)
Seems like they shatter easily but it might be interesting to make the Crystalised Husk harvestable and/or explosive.
