Tiberian Sun Rising is a total conversion for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars! Tiberian Sun Rising brings back GDI and Nod battling it out during the Second Tiberium War, retelling Tiberian Sun as never before. This isn't just a remake of the hit title C&C Tiberian Sun. It is a mod making Tiberian Sun as it should have been originally so expecting lots of new fun and originality while sticking to the feel Tiberian Sun had. Taking the mindset that this is the first time Tiberian Sun is being made and using the original game as a design concept. This mod will also include the additions made in Firestorm so it is a remake of Tiberian Sun and Firestorm as one to what they should have been.New abilities and units will appear in Tiberian Sun Rising as well as new kind of gameplay altogether.

Makes you wonder how they made this engine almost a decade after Tiberian Sun and they cannot support better looking waterfalls despite of that...that's EA for you I guess.

Perhaps make a specialized waterfall model or what the heck you can even borrow and modify the ones used in my Mod if you wish I am sure the model conversion process wont be that difficult. Moddb.com Moddb.com

Hm, chokepoints can make maps interesting but also be frustrating... as long as certain units can still cross the rivers it should be okay (not just flying units, hovering ones as well!)

there are ways over chokepoints... especially in this mode where air transport of heavy units is allowed >:)

Already feeling much more like a C&C game than C&C3. Vanilla game was much too bright and pretty, even in the Red Zones, completely lacked atmosphere. This however is looking amazing.

yeah that's definitively true, there certainly seems to be a lot of games with way too bright shaders

nice, I know it is just a waterfall but still, the environment looks more interesting and not as sterile as what EA gave us.

You can make this waterfall in vanilla CnC3, it's just a right pain in the neck.

@sgtmyers88 :- I may have to prod some people to make me a waterfall model. While this one works and looks ok in game it would be nice to have a more 'splashy' one.

Currently those are stock C&C3 bridges.
I'm going to assume the team will eventually replace them with their own models to better reflect the Tiberian Sun theme. Seeing as its merely an aesthetic thing, this will probably come in later stages of the mod.

Exactly. The problem with TS style bridges is that they require us to do a new road set first to ensure that bridges and roads match. Roads however are of low priority now.

Description

An area of one of our WIP maps, this area contains a working waterfall and a pair of bridges. Holding this area is essential if you want to control the northern river crossings. Please tell us what you think.

N.B. The lighting and doodad placements are still being worked on. Especially the lighting.
