Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.
One of the new ships for the New Republic in 2.2, the Dauntless-class. More powerful but less versatile than the Assault Frigate, the Dauntless makes a good complement to any fleet until you have access to the BAC.

This is great, glad to see the Republic getting some love now. Though I would like to address one of the problems with ground combat, when two infantry units fight after moving the one who stops first usually wins because it starts firing first. And they stop and turn pretty slowly too, either way, can't wait for the update!
Welcome to EaW ground battles. To change that, you'd have to make the infantry fire using turrets so they can fire while moving, which ***** with animations (we'd have to create new animation sets, which we can't do).
well i partually agree with Lobot922. could you redo ground combat atleast partually to be more indepth and strategy orientated to be more, well like for example the rise of the reds mod for command and conquer: zero hour in that its way more balanced and overal more fun and realistic to play? (instead of the i have more dakka, and my units
are less retarded so i win because of reasons type gameplay)
Ground combat can't be changed that much, and we have no intention of dedicating years more to this mod for the small amount that can be done, which still couldn't even bring it close to CnC. The main stuff would require a lot of new infantry units and animations, but my animation skills are awful and the version of max you need to use to rig and animate for EaW bugs out. EaW ground combat is pretty unsalvageable, comparing it to CnC is kind of pointless.
Well, I've been playing EaW since it was bundled with BF and KotoR. The main point I think needs to be tweaked is the fire rate for the infantry and/or make them fire at more than one soldier in a unit at a time
I still miss the Republic Star Destroyer from one of the earlier versions.
But the Dauntless looks really great, reminds me of the Sovereign SSD.

there is even a submod I made which makes the Duskhan League playable in a few more GCs and makes them more unique, not just an Imperial rip-off faction.

Is the ship only be buildable on Sullust or on all shipyards for NR only?
So what's its rough armament role? The assault frigate has turbos and lasers, the BAC has a mix of everything, the dreadnought is just turbos and the MC40 also is pretty mixed. What combination is left?
Looking at wookieepedia it seems to have a similar armament to the MC40 ingame...
Anyway, it's one of the more unique looking medium-sized ships in the mod and more non-capitals for the NR is always welcome.
