After a considerable amount of time working with the AM : Rebirth engine, we decided to move on XashXT. The decision was pretty tough because both engines have unique and reliable features. The main reason we moved on is because XashXT is an active project which keeps receiving updates from its developers who are more than happy to help us on the road.
Another plus would be the latest source code availability, this way we can make sure to update the newest engine build.
All in all, Rebirth was a good engine, with lots of interesing and some mind-blowing features, but we decided it was time to move on. Thank you AM, welcome XashXT!

I have been so tempted to try a new engine but my main worry is that I would start again from scratch to accommodate new features haha!
Man, Im so old school :D, I like to work with simple and old games to do something new mods like "The Volcano".
Would be nice If you change the engine too, new features, maybe big limits if you move on Xash :D
That's good to hear. AM is a fantastic engine, but Xash3D is a little more stable IMO.
I hope not many resources are lost in the move, however.
Nah...isn't a great loss, what we lost its a particle system already used in Volcano but... we can fix all
It's good to see, that there are some creative people who are brave enough to experiment with new possibilities. I bet that it's a right decision, IMHO Xash3D now is the best platform for creating of Half-Life singleplayer mods. Good luck with futher development!
