The Veiled Stars is a single player mod for Mount&Blade: Warband. It is set during the War of the Ring.
holy mother of.... RUN!!!!!!!!
We have made it that they can also run people over -> probably dead.
They are awesome, but will there be a limit for recruiting them ??
Do they look cheap.... :D
And there has indeed been a discussion on this, but no clear result.
Haha ok and can you chose which men you put on the tower ??
Probably not, that would be very complex.
Ok thanks for the information.
What you set them to a certain group, IE 'Archers'? I have no clue how the M&B coding really works yet and that probably wouldn't work but food for thought.
Maybe a group named "monsters" or something like that.
but, you can be on the tower?
aren´t they a bit too small? or is it this way because larger size would cause problems?
This is just a test model. So they aren't finished.
let me show you my respect then ;) I imagine it was probably very hard to get them in game. and your artists did make a great job too! just some tweaks to the tusks and I´ll be speechless...
Good Lord man, while a full-sized Mumakil would be awesome, that would just plain render any opposition moot, don't ya think? The Mumakil from the movie could literally wade through hundreds of troops without much issue, and with Warband's rather small armies in comparison to most of the ones from LoTR, all it would take is for one to sit down and completely wipe out an entire lord's army!
we could just download warband battle size changer turn it into a 500 vs 500 or 300 vs 300 so we get bigger battles
How many computers you think can handle 500 vs 500 without lowering most graphic setting to crap mode? And even 500 men would be easy if they match what I saw in the movie.
What you are doign with warband is just magical. Cant wait to see one of these in my army.
OMG ! Fall back, Riders of Rohan !
still only counts as one
That's amazing! *drools*
Holy crap! lol.. this is awesome :O
what happened to its foot? :D
Thats because it is using the horse animation for testing.
so.. will it keep using the horse animations on realease or do you plan on giving them their own animations?? same goes for trolls actually :P anyways, it looks awesome :D
As far as I know they will be replaced
how will it work? Will it be a mount or something else, because I see three guys on top of it.
Think of this:
"The Mûmakil! Now available in Middle-Earth! It comes with archers!"
do they born with towers or they get it later on and if one archer die do they die too like an organ or something!!!
I am VERY Confused
I was being sarcastic :p
by the way ur work is amazing "achieve the unachievable"
Following the developper's previous statements, one mumakil + its archers will be a single unit; thus they will be likely to die together once the mumakil doesn't have any life left (the same the elephants work in the TW series).
The Archers spawn on the Mumakil once the Mumakil is spawned, so basically they aren't one unit.

Oh sorry i thought i was in different game not a mod :D.
Not very related, but I was wondering (and yes I know Eriador won't be in the first release) whether hobbits will be playable, or just the usual dwarves/elves/men?
Most likely not.
how to kill this monsters
I'd suggest shooting it. Go face it with a sword if you dare xD
